Hatch won’t open with power switches

Just started experiencing this problem where the center or rear hatch release switches won’t open. I was able to get it open with the hidden mechanical hatch release lever. Is there a fuse that controls the switches I should check? It’s like there is no power as it doesn’t sound like the hatch is doing anything when either is used.

Just to confirm the basics, if you walk up to the car with the key in your pocket and press the exterior rear hatch button it does not pop the hatch? And you don't hear anything trying to pop?
For the interior switch, the car needs to be unlocked. This tripped me up a couple times where I had to press the door unlock button inside the car and then use the hatch release button.

Correct, with keys in hand if I push the rear release, I hear nothing. Same with pushing the release on the center console with the car unlocked.

If you haven't done this...
To make sure it's not mechanical (it's opening the latch, but the hatch isn't popping up):
-> Unlock car and push the hatch release in the Nissan emblem while pulling up on the hatch itself.
If it's legit not even trying to actuate the release, first thing I'd check is the fuse box. I'd meter, or check all.

I tried pushing the button under the logo while lifting and nothing happened. I feel like it is something electrical given the mechanical hidden lever opens it just fine. My plan was to check all the fuses if I have to but thought I’d check to see if anyone here knew which fuse controlled the electronic hatch release buttons.

I do not need the key to open the rear lid . it will open when the car is unlocked.

This is from the manual. Maybe my brain's not working, but their cartoon isn't helping much. I assume it's in the back (between the strut towers?) in the area marked in the bottom picture, but not certain.

I found it under the carpet right behind the drivers seat. Just above where the red question mark is in the pic above.

Be sure to document with photos. You should be going to the dealer for a warranty repair. Even if the fuse is blown and replacing it solves the problem, you need to know why it blew the fuse so it doesn't happen again.

If you listen closely while pressing the button can you hear anything from the trunk lid? The actuator is quite loud.

Yes that is correct. If the car is unlocked you can open the rear hatch without the key in your pocket. If it's locked you will need the key in your pocket. I have had the issue where I'm sitting in the car and my passenger gets out and tries to open the trunk but it won't unless I hit the door unlock button first.

Also, be aware that if you get out of your car, lock the doors, open the trunk with the key in your pocket and close the trunk, the car will be unlocked until you lock it again. For the first month of ownership I didn't realize I was leaving my car unlocked when grabbing something from the trunk.

Thank you, I do have a service appointment for warranty repair. I just like to make an attempt myself as dealership work can be questionable at times.
