Sooooo, just came here to say. Called my dealer for any updates as I’m seriously jumping ship.

Guess what…she left
So anyone on the forum dealing with Mia from Osborne Park…give them a call because she has gone.
So I am now on my 4th yes 4th salesman

He tells me he can’t promise but the car is in the system as a March delivery
Again…he said I can’t promise, it’s just what is presently I. The system so don’t take my word for it.

I’m guess if that’s the case the ship due in on the 23rd of Jan could well be carrying some Zs.
God evrytime I think I’m out and ready to buy something else…they reel me back in ?
I completely understand, last Friday got hold of the local dealer and had a go at him for not returning 4 calls at the end of last year, I told him that not keeping a line of communication with your customers was worse than Nissan giving no updates.
Hang in there, I feel cars are going to start rolling in soon and by March at least some of the early orders will be filled

Hope your right…he did say I’m still at the top with one other at their dealership…not just for Zs but for all car builds they have AND they still have around 13 orders within two months after mine was place ….so good luck to anyone ordering late last year thinking they will hav3 theirs in 6 months is all I can say

Mia was looking after my order also! I wouldn’t even know who to call there. Only had her mobile number after she phoned me from my online enquiry.

I remembered someone in the forum saying they were dealing with her…thus my post.
I spoke to a guy named Barry …seems pretty nice. The dealerships manager however is away for a week I believe, that’s why info was limited.
He went to great lengths to tell me the orders stay in order no matter how many dealers leave ( as I said…I’m up to dealer 4 as they obviously gave up waiting for their delivery fees)
So I’d say give the dealership a call and ask for him, or someone in new cars.

They really should have kept her clients informed

That's a real shame, a respectable dealer (and dealership) would typically adviser their customers of a new point of contact.

Agree totally. Good times can breed bad habits...

It's a perfect opportunity to go through a deal book and ring all the customers and restart the relationship without carrying forward too much of the baggage. ;)

For anyone in melbs, Footscray has a black manual demo. I happened to spot it when driving past. Dropped in for a look and a sit in it. First time seeing it in person.

I also asked my dealership if it was possible to give the contract to anyone else. I also asked if it was possible to swap colours. The answer to both was no. So good luck to anyone who thinks they can give/sell the contract on. Maybe other dealerships would allow it, but mine said it would be the same thing as starting over.

Looks nice (although black would be a pain to keep clean) and I haven't cancelled yet, but I'm 99% sure I'll go for the Civic type r.

I will likely be a little jealous when I eventually see the Z's on the road though.

Aaagh, every time I see the black, that's what I've ordered, I am sucked back into the Z vortex...

Yeah, you have to be the first registered owner, so means you need to purchase, pay on roads and then on sell. Second owner doesn't get hit with LCT, but will pay stamps again. This meets the terms of the contract. It's a bit of a pain, so just depends if you have a buyer lined up already with an agreed price, whether you can be bothered.

The reality is in general by the time people's car orders are turning up across all brands, it's often the case that they have moved on, finance rates are up, life changes etc, so not always someone just doing it to flip. For example, I am pretty keen on a new bike, so the BRZ and bike are the same price as the Z. So i'll have to decide between them...

I'll be getting some proper km's into the Z next week as I'm taking it away on holidays. I hadn't planned to but the Tiguan has suddenly sprung a warning light and I don't have time to get it checked before going away. A reasonably large suitcase just fits in the back of the Z, with a bit of coersion.

Anyone know any good driving roads around the Forster area?

The Bucketts Way was pretty good, but when I last checked it out 18 months ago it was badly pot-holed. It can get a bit busy during holiday periods so choose your timing wisely
