No dice on changing it up hey mate?
I tried calling again yesterday, asking if they had a vin, and if they didn’t I’d assume my car hasn’t been made yet and was going to ask if that was the case couldn’t they just make a manual instead? I’ll try again today, it’s shocking how bad dealerships are at getting back to you, like everyone else has said I’ve never been contacted first for any news which is disappointing.

Sorry to hear there's been no changes thus far mate. Its not over yet though and I'd certainly encourage you to not give up hope just yet. Like you say, until you get a vin it's somewhat open ended.

Yeah, dealers keeping all of us in the dark is bullshit. So I'm not on Facebook, and after the photos yesterday I hit my wife up to like nissans page just so I can keep up-to-date aswell. It boggles the mind that that's even something that I have to look into since my dealership is as shit with customer relations as everyone elses.

But mate, its such a shit show. My "updated" contract still has an auto proto on it. After they touched base with me and we established I was getting a 6spd, I expected an amendment to be made or a re-issue of my contract, but nup

I’m in two minds with the dealerships.
On one hand like I’ve said many times…I don’t think they know much more than what we do, and anything they do know they have been sworn to secrecy …that’s not their fault.
On the other hand, as they don’t seem to have any actual cars at the moment ( nearly all models are like the Z…waiting for shipment) you think they would have an hour or so each week to get on the blower and touch base with their customers

As to Nissan Aus, at a bare minimum they should have been sending out monthly updates

Yep, you can speculate that they've been sworn to secrecy, I'll speculate they just couldn't be fucked doing more than the bare minimum because humans ?

Just got off the phone,

Apparently the ship with their demo is arriving on the 19th, with viewership available by the end of the month.

As far as swapping my auto for a manual, not possible as all the Proto’s have been made. He said he believed they were all in the country already but that doesn’t seem right.
Disappointing but it is what it is.
