Hey guys, have some insider news for nismo z if anyone is interested. Looking at 94k before on roads so after LCT and rego probs around low 100k mark. Direct supra competitor at this price point

6-12 months, gives me time to save up the extra 15k

Put a deposit on a manual supra today. The Z hype is utterly dead for me, what a shame.

@cainen how are you finding the auto? I had to settle for auto too although mine hasn’t arrived yet and I’m having second thoughts. I’m worried it’ll affect resale if I decide I’m not a fan

None of the ones on carsales have been selling either. If everyone swallowed their pride I’d say 100k is a good selling point for a Proto, I don’t expect many people will pay much more than that.

I was watching it, it ended at 85k so I doubt it hit reserve

It’s a non Proto yellow manual. The pre delivery was completed on it yesterday, not sure if it’s on display yet, I would call ahead and find out.

More demos have arrived, Nepean motor group in Penrith just got theirs on a trailer so I’d say a few more dealers would have got some too.

Those Proto’s on car sales are crashing down in price, one has dropped to $101k. Must not be as much demand as everyone thought. I think they failed with the Proto, making a few cosmetic changes and not having them even having a numbered plaque or something inside to make it more appealing...

The deposit was left in March I believe, but an “updated” contract was signed in July so I guess that’s the loophole. Definitely will tell everyone to avoid that dealer though, pretty scummy move and only for a $500 deposit.

Just had my mate try and get his refundable deposit back from a dealer as he can no longer purchase the Z because it’s taken way longer than expected and needs another car. They told him you can’t get your money back until the car is available as the agreement was subject to viewing or...

Yeah I already made a joke with the salesman, see you in a few years lol But mainly I’m just salty about settling for auto, don’t want to get stuck with another auto so I feel like I need to do it before it’s even announced which is crazy but these are the times we live in
