Only $1k, apparently he already had 3 deposits down for the nismo
That's tempting for sure mate. But out here we'd certainly not get off so lightly, relatively speaking. They'd want more than that, im damn near certain. What you put down on ya proto over there ?

Tell me about it. I'm off to UK for a wedding then US for work in coming months. I'd rather it was safely locked in my garage beforehand.
I'll sit mine next to it to keep it company while you're away if you like?

I’m out at Chatswood Nissan, they have 2 Proto’s here (auto and manual). They look incredible! Worth the wait. They’re taking deposits for the unannounced nismo Z, so I put one down, not gonna miss out on an early allocation again after this nightmare.
Sorry can’t help but laugh…miss out.
It doesn’t seem to matter how early our deposits were made, we are all still waiting regardless?
I know that not what you meant…but if I don’t laugh I’ll cry.

At the rate this roll out is going you should get your Nismo sometime in 2050…that’s if the Aus government hasn’t ruled out the sale of petrol cars by then ?

Yeah I already made a joke with the salesman, see you in a few years lol

But mainly I’m just salty about settling for auto, don’t want to get stuck with another auto so I feel like I need to do it before it’s even announced which is crazy but these are the times we live in

Agreed! Perhaps we make a new thread for Nismo related predictions, not sure that I can relive this all over again. There's absolutely no guarantee Nissan Australia will exist in coming years let alone a Nismo Z.

I get that
I know when I put my deposit in, most dealers didn’t even know what the Z was, and not even my dealer believed they would be getting the Proto, which is partly when I have the coupe on order and not a Proto.

I wish you luck and hope it’s not a colossal mess like what we are facing at present

Yeah, can't blame you mate.

You pretty committed to not keeping it already then huh? Personally, I was coming around to the notion of its positives given I will be moving to Perth, but even then I was having similar ideas to yourself.

1k for the deposit isn't so bad. I put 5 down for the proto, and I'm bloody sure they'd want the same for nismo and they can shove that idea. 5k for that long just isn't financially savvy, even if you have got coin to burn.

As for waiting.
The proto I know that was a July order is claimed to delivered tomorrow.

so it might not be them waiting.

vspec claiming first delivered whilst car still in dealer lot is… Them aiming to inflate value.

Anyone is WA close to Morley they have a yellow coupe demo….I’m so annoyed ?
At least you can look at one in person. Nothing to see where I spend my time unfortunately! Though perhaps seeing it and not being able to claim it is worse ?

It does look bloody good though !

I’m 100% with you, they’re literally using your car for their own marketing campaign. Book it for an exteeeeeended test drive.
