I’m still really struggling to understand the decision to send demos to dealers when actual customers have had orders in for well over a yearI’m up in Townsville tonight and can report that no Zs jumped ship here.

It’s just a shinny new thing to pull people into showrooms to upsell crossovers. I’m certain Nissan Australia know that it’s not fair on those with long awaited orders but unfortunately finding new customers is their business model.…so what is the point of a demonstrator of a model you are not even permitted to sell?
This basically. It’s just a shinny thing used to pull people into their showrooms to upsell crossovers. I’m certain Nissan Australia know that it’s not fair on those with long awaited orders but unfortunately finding new customers is their business model.
You guys are far more accepting than me …I just don’t think it’s good business to annoy your paying customers who have already committed (yet can still pull out of the contract) for a maybe. I think they stand to lose more than they will gain ….in fact I think they have already lost a great deal of orders from people simply giving up waitingIt’s just a shinny new thing to pull people into showrooms to upsell crossovers. I’m not accepting, it’s absolute bullshit and IMO moves like this contribute to why they’re a failing business. Treating current customers with respect should ALWAYS be the priority. You guys are far more accepting than me..
Easy for you to say when your car's about to arrive!I honestly couldn't care less. I'll get it when I get it, and hopefully will enjoy it as much as I think I will.
Yeah meant no offense by it - I guess it's all just relative. I'm actually talking to my dealer about leaving my car in their showroom until their test car arrives.Easy for you to say when your car's about to arrive!
In all seriousness, it just lighthearted fun. We've been here for a long time so naturally vent a full range of emotions, it's all part of the journey.
We also have excess, called deductible, could be $500, $1000, $2000 etc.Excess is the fee for when you make a claim.
You can increase your excess amount to reduce your premium per year and some people do this as the excess is only payable if you make a claim.
If you are not at fault and the cost can be assigned to someone else then the excess is not required to be paid by you.

This is possibly why our insurance cost seems to be cheaper than you guys in North America as maybe something like this is built into your insurance costs and is payable regardless of claims.
We are at the same dealer, at the time I asked for that to be put on the contract and also subject to viewing, as at that time I wanted to see the car in the flesh.I don't know about other dealers but mine put in my contract "subject to test drive". It's not something I requested, they just did it. If they've got hundreds of orders subject to test drive maybe that's what the demos are for. Probably not, but maybe.
A cat back exhaust, probably won't void warrantyJust wondering, a lot a people want to change the exhaust, if a none Nissan part is used, have you voided warrantee
If something happened to you car downtrack I can bet Nissan would blame it on the non OEM part.
no,Also a lot of the US members talk about tracking their cars, again would this not void warrantee
