What did you order? Coupe or Proto?Got a msg from my dealer today:
...Just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that we be hopefully getting the New Z for test drive some point in September. I will let you know as soon as the car is here so you can come and have a drive then also get more insight on when yours will be available for delivery in the mean time feel free to contact me if you need anything.
Blue manual Coupe (Melbourne west side)What did you order? Coupe or Proto?
And …good that they are getting their demo in, but not over orders (I know I sound like a broken record) , customers should come first
They are silly really. The longer we wait the more we hear about things…for exampleBlue manual Coupe (Melbourne west side)
I asked if there is an ETA on coupes and if they are on boats but didn't get a response at this time.
Mats won't fit mate. RHD and LHD are differentThey also have front carpet mats for $123 but I'm hoping i get those for free
AND then today….2nd gear could be cooked. If that proves true, that will be a deal breaker for me.
Weird that no one had mentioned this till now.I also saw a few vids with crunching gears. I wonder if that's the same car being smashed by multiple journos though. Hopefully not a big problem.
Had my 370z for 9 years and had no issues with gear changesWeird that no one had mentioned this till now.
Manual 370z owners will know exactly the feeling.
I suspect it has the same feels as the 370Z seeing its the same box.
1st to 2nd in a 370Z can feel hard to find sometimes and can give you that grindy feel. It comes out of 1st and can feel like it gets caught next to neutral before going into second. The firmer you are the better it is. Once you get used to it or go hard it's perfectly ok.
They've said new synchros in 1 and 2 should make this better
See if you can find a 370 to have a belt in.
Can confirm this, I had a manual 370z nismo and 1st to 2nd had to be very precise, it’s not something you can shift aggressively like other cars. It was still a great gearbox though.Manual 370z owners will know exactly the feeling.
