AND then today….2nd gear could be cooked. If that proves true, that will be a deal breaker for me.
I also saw a few vids with crunching gears. I wonder if that's the same car being smashed by multiple journos though. Hopefully not a big problem.
Weird that no one had mentioned this till now.

Manual 370z owners will know exactly the feeling.

I suspect it has the same feels as the 370Z seeing its the same box.
1st to 2nd in a 370Z can feel hard to find sometimes and can give you that grindy feel. It comes out of 1st and can feel like it gets caught next to neutral before going into second. The firmer you are the better it is. Once you get used to it or go hard it's perfectly ok.

They've said new synchros in 1 and 2 should make this better

See if you can find a 370 to have a belt in.

Had my 370z for 9 years and had no issues with gear changes

Just signed up as a VIP at an American Nissan dealer, they have new Z accessories to order and have %15 off.
Thinking about getting the front and rear splash guards and the interior door scuff protector $325 USD
Thinking of getting it delivered to my hotel in Hawaii as they have free US shipping
They also have front carpet mats for $123 but I'm hoping i get those for free

hmm ordering parts for a vehicle you don't yet own and are unsure of delivery date ... that's dedication. Hopefully it all works out.

Can confirm this, I had a manual 370z nismo and 1st to 2nd had to be very precise, it’s not something you can shift aggressively like other cars. It was still a great gearbox though.

So now off some calls had a chance to do some looking.

first off compliance plate says a build date of this month and rego on 11th of Aug so damn that was a fast shipping/customs.

that's a great thing for others as shows cars won't be sitting for months in import docks.

and interestingly looking at the VIN compared to the proto that was here earlier
JN1GBAZ34A0200039
JN1GBAZ34A0200023

only 16 between them.

Also being this is very diffrent to the VIN's listed for USA cars I wonder if that A indicated AU build numbers?

which also has me wondering if this is a Aug build car then not many are built yet.

but also means and I know this could be important for some, that the first 120-180 build are not proto's there coupes as well.

I figure that it's just a matter of time before we finally get the coupes, unlike the proto when you weren't even sure you'd get one.
I'm sure that those with pre orders before the cut off will get a car.

I think you have a better shot than a USA customer. In USA the risk is you'd buy those parts, and then find out the Z you thought you were getting, suddenly has 30k ADM attached.
