If these leaked prices are correct then I am not sure what to do about my Proto order as it is higher than I want it to be as $80k was my hard limit and it is over that without on road costs.

It is hard to justify that much money for this car given that it is essentially a modernized 370Z.

The only factors that may sway me to go through with it is seeing how demand for it is and knowing that I won't lose any money if I decide to sell it shortly after getting it due to not liking the car or for emergency financial reasons etc.

Other factors that will play into my decision is the covid second hand market and knowing that buying something second hand now with inflated prices will depreciate much more once the market eventually settles down, so potentially the Z is a better option than that as it is new and has warranty etc.

Now the agonizing yo-yoing between getting the car and not getting it will begin lol.
It’s gonna be 90k on road I reckon, I’m glad I went non proto
In this market you won’t lose money I wouldn’t think, but given interest rates rising and cars slowly starting to filter back in…how long that lasts for is anyones guess.
l would only get it if you want it, and are going to enjoy it
anything else is a risk…a low risk, but a risk all the same

I meant roughly my preorder list number there was about 400 or so at the end of last year paid a deposit and I was in January so I’m guessing
Gotcha….cross fingers anyone who wants one gets one soon. I think some will bow out due to the price….especially those who’s dealers told them it was only gonna be 65k …that’s a huge jump
Bad for them, but potentially good for you

90k for the proto with on roads. Or, ~85k with my deposit. Yeah, that seems a likely number. Not going to lie, I was hoping for 80k with on roads and 75k owing.

If the yellow and black was limited to the protos or something to that nature it'd be an easier sell as there's just nothing overly.."limited" about it. Though I'm sure that financially, it won't go backwards.

...and I'd really like to have Z and z32 or, great grandfather and great grandson side-by-side in the shed.

I reckon I'm pushing ahead with the purchase..providing I ever hear from my dealer again, that is.

I don’t know for sure , it’s my guesstimate…but 90k ON the road. It’s 80700k before onroad …you got a couple K luxury tax, around 4k stamp duty, rego and dealer delivery

Thats why I was happy enough to go non proto. Could still get the yellow ( which I’ve always wanted) …if I really want I can spray the breaks at a later date, and replace the rims….for less than 3k ( and that’s decent rim exchange)The only thing that’s not an easy fix is the yellow on the interior which is a little sad, but I liked the plain black so I’m ok.

G’d day! ShaQ here. 🤛 Deposited and signed contract for the Z couple of months ago hoping the price would be around 70k mark before O.N.O. So much for an affordable sports car Nissan promised us (even their website) it would be a shame if it isn’t.

Hello and welcome…us Aussies are taking over🤣
I was always told it would be 80k so I’m not too shocked, but it would be for those who were told 65k …don’t know how much you’ve read yet, but it has been leaked non Proto will be 73300 before onroad costs, and Proto 80700k before onroad so not cheap, especially with a 8inch screen and goodness knows what other things we don’t know about as yet…

But I’m keen signed up and ready to throw my money away anyway 🤣🤣

Hey Sam, and yeah, I haven't been on there for bloody ages, but I remember old Rob (I think that was his name?)

Happy to talk a bit more z32 stuff if ya want, but I'd hate to take the thread off topic! Clean example you've got yourself right there 👌

I owned a 300zx back in 2005 for a few years.

I looked at my joined date on that forum and it was also 2005 😂. Joined a few cruises in Sydney over the years. Great people.

Seems like a life time ago.

Feels just as long waiting for this new Z to come 😂, however West Aussie's post have kept me entertained lol.

Not that I mind a diversion, but if you guys do want to chat, you know it’s possible to hold a private chat with any member?
just hit the member tab at the top of the page, find the member you want to talk to, and hit the “start conversation” tab in their profile….no pressure, I only found out when someone connected with me direct ( I’m so technologically useless 🤣)

Doesn’t mean they will get a yellow non proto manual….and if they are not offering what else they get allocated, you just never know….especially in WA were we seem to be forgotten about half the time ( not that I blame anyone for that …except maybe our current premier 🤣🤣)

But thanks for the boost 🙂
ahhh relaxxxxxx

you above all have nothing to worry about!!!

we willl be fine. I have had two 370z.... one of the first 10 in WA.... welcome to the Z club! :). enjoy!
