I've never purchased a car from a dealer. Is stamp duty included in on road costs?
Stamp duty is included in on road costs, so added after the 73300k…which I’ve just gone onto WA roads and done a calculation …$4700 😳bloody government are crooks

so might be look at over 80k drive away after all 😞

cant wait to see what the insurance on these will be
wont be pretty and it may even be hard to get insurance at all initially. I know the Peugeot was tricky, I’m the end only two insurance companies offered to protect it, and one was completely unreasonable. Went with RAC which was almost $1000 difference 😳
So that will be my starting point when looking into this

If it is $80k or nearly $80k I am not sure I want to get one. Might wait for reviews, if they are largely positive I may get it, otherwise I might consider a used BMW m 2. I am reluctant to spend $80k on this particular car sight unseen, and being unsure of how it is like on the road. It has an old chassis with an old engine after all, but it does look pretty.

One thing about allocations.
Car Expert says over 1000 people have already put their money down.
Given there are only 91 Nissan dealers in Australia, that would mean every dealer would need to get around 11 cars to fill everyone’s orders…thats not gonna happen, at least not in the first deliveries.
I reckon we will be lucky to get half of that

There will be a lot of disappointed people out there that’s for sure, and I’m not sure why Nissan would not be warning new deposits that it’s going to be a bit of a wait, as it’s only going to annoy those who miss out more…after all they took the money easy enough.

I’m still nervous as to if I’ll get a car and I put my money down a year ago, and am the first on my dealerships list ….next few weeks is going to be interesting 😬

Which article is that? Because the one I just read said that the Nissan representative still said there are supply issues and they still don’t know 100% what allocations they are getting. Even my dealer seemed to think they would only be getting single digits cars initially ….I hope your right

“Assuming most of those who placed deposits follow through, you can expect some pretty lengthy wait times. Mr Paterson did not comment when asked for some detail on the supply situation, specifically around how many months or even years of supply 1000 units represented.”
