I don’t think it will be ahead of others though…if the Canadian guy is to be believed, they already have cars in the docks ready

Didn't Nissan Canada also update their website to reflect a Summer release instead of Spring?

Hey don't forget about New Zealand, plenty of Z car enthusiasts there!
Even combined with New Zealand our numbers would be relatively nothing compared to the US and Japan and probably Canada too.

Edit: Also if the timeframe is to be believed the cars would have to have been built already and being loaded onto ships soon if not already to make it here in time.

That would mean full details would be available and dealers would have VIN numbers etc that they should be able to supply to us, rather than still seeming not really knowing any details.

Summer is June ….and there is a Canadian on another thread who says he got a call from his dealer today, and they are still saying June and that cars have already started to arrive, and they don’t have VINs either

As to would have to be made…correct, but that just adds momentum to the thought they are on their way, as otherwise dealers should have been told there is a delay by now.

as I said, I’m staying positive till it’s not

Yes but if you believe FBD and his dealer contact than what LZ23 was told is not true.

At the end of the day this is all rumours and until we actually get firm details like pricing for our respective markets than it is all speculation.

Given the time Nissan announced the delay from Spring to Summer it was roughly only one month left of Spring I highly doubt the delay would be by only one month to the start of Summer as it is pretty close that they could probably have been a bit more specific with the dates.

Nissan saying just Summer, gives them til August and I have a feeling it will be closer to August as no one can get pissed at it being that late as all they said was Summer with no specific timeframe.

So IMO there's 3 scenarios.

1. We get our cars midyear as scheduled.
2. Delayed delivery, Nissan are intentionally misleading us.
3. Delayed delivery, Nissan Global have forgotten about us.

And only number one is acceptable…the other two means they don’t give a crap about their buyers

Cars for NSW are unloaded in Port Kembla, currently only one car carrier showing up until the 2nd May out of Japan.
Local dealer still expects cars in October, according to them they will know who gets what before the cars are loaded

To be fair 2nd of May is not end of May ….and they could be in that one.

I wonder what your dealer has been told that @Jezza who is in QLD and myself in WA have not.
I know the original arrivals were due Sept October, but then our dealers were told delivery had been moved forward to July

im not saying your wrong…not at all, I’m just wondering why the different messages, especially as this is what we were was told before rumours of it being delayed, and neither your nor our informations changed.

I wish Nissan Aus would use that email list they have on hand for an update and just let us all know what’s going on

EDIT looks like October is more likely given what the Canadian guy is saying ….so frustrating that would put me at a year and seven months since they had my deposit ..,.and that’s if they get what I requested, if I’m put back to second delivers it’s gonna be two years ?

There are currently three vehicle carriers due to arrive in Fremantle Port by the tenth of next month…can’t see where they originated from, because it only shows last port which was Melbourne but two only operate in the Asia pacific region and are returning to Nakanoseki

I get two different answers from the two dealers I have deposits with, I don't think any of them really know when these cars may turn up, personally I think will be late October. I'm in the states in September will probably get to see one in the flesh then.

I just saw a review and cant believe the new Z still has the 12volt outlet sticking out under the dash on the drivers side just like the 370Z, this will have to be relocated like I did with my old 370Z. On the plus side it looks like the new Z has illuminated door sills, these were a pain to install last time

Saw it on Raiti's Rides, he is doing a review of a Blue auto performance model. The door sill has Z that lights up.
It's on YouTube

Joint the forum has been great, for one thing many of the car reviewers that I’ve never heard of will be good once first drives are complete. Of course our spec will be slightly different ( boo 8inch) but should still get an honest feel for the car.
We are better off than the US in terms of ordering, but we pretty much have to take the car sight unseen, so the reviews will be very important

One thing I will say, after seeing the red for the first time I was starting to wonder if I’d made the right choice with yellow. But the latest pics next to an older car shows the pain is very similar in tone and will probably fade. So now I’m really happy with the yellow, but these are the drawbacks of being in Aus
