It is good to finally see actual official pricing come out even if it isn't for our market it at least gives us a rough idea of what to expect.

As mentioned in the article and there has already been a thread started about it, the Z has been delayed which I have always believed would be the case as the June/July timetable never really seemed feasible to me.

This is obviously unfortunate for all of us and I will speculate that August will most likely be the earliest the car will launch now with the cars arriving September/October at the earliest.
Most likely right…but I’m starting to look at other options. By Sept Nissan would have had my money for over 18months

I completely understand your frustration especially given you have had you deposit down for much longer than pretty much everyone else and it was a much larger deposit than most on top of that to!

If I was in your position I to would also be seriously looking at other options. Even with this latest news about the delay we still don't actually have a specific timetable for the release and there are no guarantees that it won't be delayed even further.

You can always get the Z at a later date but if you need a car now you need a car now.

I am very fortunate that these delays don't affect me one bit as there is nothing wrong with my current car and it is still a very good car.

The only reason I wanted the Z was just for a change to something new but I an not too bothered if I don't end up getting one.

However it would be great if we knew pricing for our market as then a lot of us will know whether we will actually go ahead and make the purchase or if we need to move on and find something else.

The only other thing I really want to know is exactly how many Proto Spec's we will be getting!

I agree that’s why I’ve waited, but I suppose it does all hinge on what the final price for the Z will actually be

So a friend is at the media day in the US with the Z. He’s also the guy who photographed all the Z promotional material…, he’s snapped the interior which is LHD… indicator stalk is on the LEFT… so will the Aus spec RHD have it on the left too? I hope so, that in Aus we get the Euro spec interior.

What Euro spec?
I didn’t think it was going to Europe because of their emissions restrictions…definitely not going to the UK
There we’re some photos of RHD around…but with so many posts it’s hard to find.
I think it’s on the left…I remember the handbrake is on the other side of the centre console (closer to passenger to driver)…so exactly where you see it in a left hand drive

p.s…lucky friend, does he know if the Aus price will get released at the same time as the US?

There isn't a Euro spec as it is not being released in Europe at all.

We will get whatever the Japanese get in terms of configuration minus the 9in display.

Thought that LHD would be Euro spec... indicator on the left side of the steering wheel... which when we get cars sent to Aus they stay that way.

Only Japanese, Australian, Korean cars have the indicator on the right...

So I found a RHD photo of the interior here on this forum... It won't be Euro spec.

My 200sx has the indicators on the right, but my mother's VW Polo has the indicators on the left ... pain in the backside whenever I have to drive her car and flick the windscreen wipers on for the first few times. :)

Ah no, it’s a pain in the butt when I get into a rental car and want to put the car into Drive and the indicators turn on and when I want to turn I put the wipers on! ??

The headlamps have a dial on the dash, my gear leaver is the right stalk and wipers/indicator on the left stalk.

Its pretty simple haha

I’ve had European cars since I got my license.

But in saying people complain it’s too hard but once you drive a car with a changed system after a week you get use to it!

@MattJ2020 , I was meant to write this in my earlier post but didn't have time as I was boarding a plane.

Please don't take this as an attack as it is not meant to be, it is more curiosity as I am struggling to find the logic as to why you believed the cars we would get here would be configured as LHD orientation or as you refer to as Euro Spec?

Even if the car was to be sold in Europe it would be the same as North America as it is LHD also, however Nissan is Japanese and the car is being made in Japan which is a RHD market like here and you have even stated that Japan is one of the countries that has the indicator on the right so why would you think it wouldn't be on the right like every other Nissan sold here?

No stress! It’s a discussion not an argument.

I’ve noticed a lot of cars in Australia are Eurospec, ie wider license plate holders or the space for them compared to JDM bumpers at the rear. Don’t tell me you haven’t seen this?

Same goes with interior options and trims. Indicators and window wiper stalks. Damnit, I have to go find some more examples!

Well my Peugeot was European spec…but then again it was made in France, Renaults are the same I believe.
I suppose where the car is made makes a big difference to what side our indicators are on.
Before I sold the Peugeot I was forever getting in the Honda and turning on the wipers, but after five minutes in the car adjusted.
I do prefer the European signals, but sadly as Australians who no longer manufacture any cars, we are at the mercy of getting what we are given by other countries ….it’s not a biggy though
