I won't lie, I went to 4 stores to find them as they only have 10 or so Hot Wheels on the shelf at a time.

You're lucky they are on the shelf. Here one chain of shops have some regular Hot Wheels on the shelf pegs (along side the more fancy ones) and a big half-crate full at the end of the aisle. To find anything you usually have to try to dig through that crate. :(

Well thought I’d take a trip out to the local, checked 2 Woolies, 2 Coles, a Kmart, Target, reject shop, aBig W, Target and the big toy shop that had a massive wall full of hot wheels ….but none had the Z
As usual WA will probably be the last to get new stock ?

Have you seen this on Facebook today?
looks like dealers are pretty sure it’s coming in the next few months.
I left a question asking
A…what do they call mid year and
B…will both models arrive at the same time
wait and see if they respond

Mid year has to be early July! I'm not even certain my order is official yet, received very little on paper.

It sounds like these ain't made to order and certain paint colours may be matched with either the black or red interior.. ?‍♂

Didn’t you say your dealer entered it into the system?
I’m pretty sure if it was you’d be ok.

I still have my contract from a year ago, I have seen them physically enter it in the system ( back door because the Z is not in their system yet), I have confirmation that my dealer was asked to check all details ( including deposit amount) and order specifications around 4 weeks ago, I have confirmation from the lady who enters all the orders that they were indeed looked over and confirmed, and that my order was the first at their dealership and possibly the state…and that Nissan Aus has all orders at their end

We also have the fact they still have the reservation web page.

I get that they may not be making to order, but I hope that they will allocate as best they can in date order, id be very disappointed though if my dealer dosent get what’s on order and skips people without asking early orders if they would take a different colour etc

As to interior, what’s the bets Aus doesn’t even get colours. Never have before ?‍♀

But even though it is only mildly positive, it’s a little bit exciting

I have a slip of paper for a 370z with Z Coupe in the comments. Not your typical order confirmation form.
Hmmm, hoping he put your order through…if I was you a phone call would be made just in case.
you can always disguise it as an update phone call?

With the release of Japan pricing of 6462000 yen ($70162 AUD) for what looks like the performance spec, I thought I’d compare it to our supra prices to see what it could cost us if the conversion is similar. Top of the line supra in Japan costs 7313000 yen ($79500 AUD) and our top of the line supra costs $104726… if the Z follows suit, I can easily see the performance being close to $90k, this is with luxury car tax as well. Prepare yourselves.

I’m still hoping it will come in at under 80k (My guess is 75k) I think if it comes in at 90 they will have a huge amount of cars sitting in their inventory and don’t forget performance isn’t top spec…Proto is, so They need to offer something a bit affordable.

have you looked at what an 86 or BRZ costs in Japan as a comparison by any chance?

Edit 86 costs 2799000yen or close to 30500Aus for base…in Aus it costs close to 33000
thats a $2000 increase.
So not panic stations yet

I’m hoping you’re right but I’m just preparing for the worst. Keep in mind the 86/BRZ does not have luxury car tax to worry about. Hopefully all is revealed soon

True, but the cut off for luxury tax is $69152 so if it comes in at 75k it’s around 1.5k extra …not 15

im going to stay positive until I’m proven wrong, as I said they would be silly to go too high. They would lose a stack of sales and be stuck with the inventory, something Nissan can ill afford at the moment

It is good to finally see actual official pricing come out even if it isn't for our market it at least gives us a rough idea of what to expect.

As mentioned in the article and there has already been a thread started about it, the Z has been delayed which I have always believed would be the case as the June/July timetable never really seemed feasible to me.

This is obviously unfortunate for all of us and I will speculate that August will most likely be the earliest the car will launch now with the cars arriving September/October at the earliest.
