Are there any aftermarket exhausts on the market yet or coming for the 400Z?
No clue on what’s available on the Aus market, I think there is a thread with the US guys talking about it though

Personally I just want the car first

I had placed a deposit. The preorder has the price at 85k, ex LCT, so OTR is 97k. If that’s the actual price I am not buying it. The dealer said he thinks it’s going to be 70-80k, I guess it’s pure speculation.

I am tempted to go with yellow but not sure if I should. I am worried that yellow may be harder to sell as a second hand car. Unfortunately that particular yellow colour is a Z specific colour and I can’t see it in real life before placing an order.

Two things. That’s crazy price!

The second, why do people buy a car for someone else? I bought mine, not giving two craps about what someone else is going to want, think, buy.

Buy yellow for you! You want it, you order it.

As there are more than one colour that I like, I have to consider which colour is better for resale. I also like the blue, grey, red, and white!!

I don’t think yellow will be harder to sell…being a pre launch colour it might actually become sort after.
I have ordered yellow non proto, but did so because I liked the colour…never even thought about resale.
as to the price @morgand as you are in with the dealers, can you please tell them anything above 75 for non proti they are gonna have a heck of a lot of pre ordered cars that they can’t shift

I had picked Boulder Grey, but might still change if I am going ahead with ordering once pricing is confirmed. I told the dealer I am not paying $97k.
I was told if I changed my choice after confirmation a few weeks back I’d be put to the back of the order, because it would require a whole new order in the system.
I ordered so long ago that Nissan Aus didn’t know if they were getting a Proto or not. My contract simply said yellow…I enquired as to what my order went through as when they were confirming orders ( because my guy had c,Ovid, so the dealer just put them through as is) and it was a performance model….they said if I wanted to change my order I could but it would probably put me back at the end of the line. Its all good because I actually didn’t want the proto, but if I had I would have been pretty annoyed
P.S agree with you…80k is my limit…on road

I am not sure about going to the back of the queue by changing colour once the pricing is comfirmed. I was told that the order is only confirmed once the pricing is released and we agree to proceed with the purchase, and Nissan Australia will then order our specific cars.

Our specs were placed a long time ago and then as instructed by Nissan Aus, about three weeks ago dealers contacted every single person on the pre order list to make sure that
A their details were correct and
B their specs on the car they wanted were correct
All pre orders are in the system, and I’ve been told that once Nissan Aus receives their VINS, allocations will be filled as close as possible to what has been requested by dealers…otherwise there would be no point to the pre order stage

Yes, orders are only finalised after pricing comes out and we agree, because that’s the law, but pre orders definitely matter
For instance, the Proto is already sold out and allocated …Nissans pre order page states this clearly.
So unless a buyer pulls out of a contract you can no longer order a proto
in other words, Nissan won’t cancel a contract, but you can if you don’t want to pay the price, however if you pull out of said contract and chose another option..it’s back to the back of the line for you.

That was my understanding after talking to my dealer, and the lady in charge of sending the orders through to Nissan Aus at my dealer

Liverpool Nissan just sent me their generic product documents (PDS, FSG etc). I guess that's some kind of progress?
