I just went through the budget direct quote process and at the very end it said "Sorry, we can't offer you insurance right now" "we do not offer insurance on this vehicle" ?‍

It may depend on your age, some companies won't insure under a certain age for high performance car

I'm 38 so don't think that's an issue. I'll deal with the problem later if/when I actually get a Z. I've got 2 cars insured with BD already and have found them to be pretty good.

If your under 50 it can be an issue. When I bought my Peugeot only 2 insurance companies would cover me….SGIO and RAC, with RAC being almost $800 cheaper!
I’m still not quite at 50 yet, so might have the same issue

I'm 38 so don't think that's an issue.

I’m 38 also, possibly more sensible than 25 but hard to imagine I’ll be driving any better at 50. I guess the stats are the facts.

I don't think it was based on age- for a premium, Budget approved cover for me at 31 y/o.

Yeah, I had a quick gander and had no dramas for a 33yo male.

Might pay to double back on it if you could be bothered mate ?

It did mention during the process budget won't insure for an under 30yo. So yeah, you're on point.

Seems to be the Proto model that Budget Direct doesn't like. I'm able to get a quote for the standard model.

They might wrongly believe it’s more powerful?
Who knows, most likely will be updated when they have all the info through.

I just wish we had a date for when the car will get here, I’m feeling extremely frustrated

I’ve just had 6 months of just crappy stuff ( expensive stuff) happening…kinda gets you down.
Also haven’t had a holiday in two years coz of covid, but got one planned for Dec…im sure once I get the car, or go on holidays ( which ever happens first) I’ll be feeling much more positive

Was thinking of calling the local dealer today as no news from Sydney dealer last week
