Yeah that's crazy if it's the case. I think someone should pull the wrap off to see if it's the base colour underneath?

One of the reasons I went with black is that I am not a big fan of the two tone. Maybe growing up in the 80's with Vinyl roofs has caused that...

Ironically I had seriously contemplated the Passion Red and getting the roof sprayed, as my 260z Coupe was red.
I dare you 🤣

I can 100% relate after pulling the vinyl roof off my 1980 Ford Escort Ghia. Was a rusty mess underneath!

Just wanted to put it out there, but has anyone received any further updates this month on the delivery of their car?
I just enquired with my dealership today and received a screen shot update that my car is not on the water yet. Confirmed built Dec 2022 Wk 1. Dealer believes if the car makes the April ship i'll receive the car at the end of April, else i'm now looking at May or later. Order date was Sept 21'. Hopefully receive it before the 2yr anniversary of ordering it.

So apparently they are just not putting them on boats as they cannot get them through.

My dealer has been good with checking for updates but it sounds like mine still isn’t on the water either. As per the story above, the last car carrier I tracked from Japan arrived off Port Kembla a few days ago but still hasn’t docked. Given the backlog with quarantine I’m not expecting mine any time soon.

Yeah, that’s what they say…but if I can play devils advocate

Freo port has 11 car carriers due from now to the 21st of April ….so around 60,000 cars at one port alone. So why can other manufacturers get their cars on ships and they can’t🤷‍♀️
So far there doesn't seem to be a huge backlog in WA, as ships seem to be being processed within 2 -3 days of arrival and yet very few Nissans coming through.
I’ve been down to the port on a number of occasions…hundreds f cars down there from every manufacturer bar one

I was wondering but they have doubled down on it again today
https://www.news.com.au/technology/...a/news-story/16cc83ca999641b4ba4f0e2bd42b7e59

on a plus note from the article today Nissan has the lowest reported wait time of cars of any of them so seem to be the best at getting cars to people......

No way has nissan got the lowest wait times. Wonder where they are getting their stats from.
Subaru and Hyundai max waits of 6 months if you place an order today.
BMW can get me a Z4 in my specified spec by Sept/Oct
I’ve even seen a tonne of VW at the port along with many others

I can walk in and buy a Mazda right now (MX5 the exception)
How can they possibly say wait times are the shortest

The point I’m trying to make is….either this is compete bullshit or they have no problems sending cars, and out Zs should be on a ship along with their other cars that have the lowest wait times.

Come on people I’ve defended these guys time and time again but this time there is just no logic to what’s being said

so prior to posting I actually looked that all up as I was curious.
they don't have wait periods for the new cars just legacy and considering most of their cars are new so it's basiclly wait time for a Navara.

being I used to manage a data Analytics team I also look at where things like this get their info and as you can manipulate data to say pretty well anything like if you are click baity enough.

Ok so no wait times…except for Z.
So tell me again that shipping is the issue?
