Unless we have VIN allocated to our coupe I will not take any words for granted from any dealers or Nissan itself. Just reading on JP website the local orders suspended and those who’ve placed orders will have to go through lottery every 3 months since the capacity of manufacturing Z is only 100-200 a month while they have 5000+ back orders. Having no legit information on our orders and contracts that we’ve signed is beyond joke now.

What’s an even bigger joke is if we take best case scenario and they can build 200 a month, they have about 4 years worth of order, yet they are sending out demos to drum up more…it’s beyond a joke

Unsure if y’all are following what’s happening stateside, but dealerships across the US that are receiving Proto Spec as first wave have been contacting interested parties. They have VINs, and I believe I’ve seen timing of end of August into September. No mention of Sport/Performance.

I have to imagine it’s similar, timeline-wise, down under. Fingers are crossed.

RS3 bloody good car, low key underrated 3.9sec German beast and bloody well built. Wish we had as much options as the US market, dearly missing Holden and Ford days here. Nothing beats the rumble of R8 or Statesman V8’s.

The other problem with the RS3 is convincing the better half dropping 6 figures on a car is a good idea!

The RS3 is nice alright, very comfortable, bloody quick and sticks to a track like glue but the driver engagement is hardly comparable to that of a manual RWD sports car.

Yep, I've had hot hatches (though nothing close to an RS3) but never a RWD sports car. Spending this amount of money, I'd also like it to be a car I hold onto for a long long time, if not forever. The Z is going to last a lot longer than the Audi which there's a good chance will turn into a technological nightmare once warranty is up.

I followed this from the release as was hoping to test drive prior to buying. But but bullet when issues with mini. (again)

I think the waiting is part of the excitement. Plus parts will be on markets so I can start shopping.

and grabbed the Lexus for a cheap daily to tide me over. That said falling in love with the ride of it so might end up throwing on club reg for an extra car. (As having 7 right now with an 8th on order is such a great move)
