Same thing just happen to me about 4 days ago (currently showing 60miles) I'll be at the dealership Saturday morning before I hit 0.... Not taking no BS "unplug the battery resets" I want answers

Well update on mine.....I let the gauge, and tank get down to 1/4 and then filled it up. Gauge came up quickly and the DTE went to 680km's. As it should. Sigh....I don't know if I should complain to dealer or not...their fix, or excuses, may be worse than the issue.

It's probably not worth even mentioning this to the dealer because that's just how to car's fuel system gauge was developed and programmed from factory.

I have a 2024 Nissan Z performance 6MT with 4,888 miles. This happened to me today, on my way to work i refueled, I poured exactly $40 of gas which $38-$42 always fills up my tank but while on the road I notice the fuel gauge read a little above half a tank and the DTE read the same as the when I pulled up to the gas station, then a few minutes later the gauge shot up to full. I’ve fueled up several times and it’s now happening which the only thing I did different was before turning on the car I disengaged the handbrake while in neutral to move forward so my sister could get into the car without hitting the door on the pole by the pumps.

No issue with this..

but when i got home from the dealer i thought it was on empty because of the white line. i think the inverse would be better - a black line on a white background. And better yet have the line change color from green, yellow, red with the amount of fuel (gal / L) listed nearby and delete the red mark below the line.

What does the red Line under the white line mean? It was full when I bought the car, but now it sits at 1/4 since then?

@JohnNYC, this happened to me today. I let the tank get below 20ish miles DTE before filling up (was reading -- pulling into the gas station), and the system did not register any fuel added, nor did it recompute DTE (still shows --). After running a few errands, the fuel gauge read about 5/8, and DTE still shows --. Not a great experience.

Probably means, "Don't go there or we'll incorrectly report any fuel added and DTE will be messed up."

Ha ha. Not really. Lots of cars mark that low area as a "reserve." If you get there you should fill up.
