Facelifted Z & Z NISMO Manual to debut at Tokyo Auto Salon In January

Aiming to further evolve performance and inherit its heritage, the Fairlady Z minor change model, scheduled for release in the summer of 2014, will be unveiled for the first time. The NISMO model will be equipped with a manual transmission (MT) to enhance the joy of driving this high-performance vehicle. The design of the base car has been changed to enhance the Fairlady Z look and improve aerodynamic performance. The newly added NISMO MT model will be exhibited at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

because on the NISMO the Sport+ mode actually changes engine timing itself which allows the NISMO tune to work.

I wonder how the facelift will look from the exterior. I think mainly just the front will be changed from the box to the more heritage style bar.

It’s just the front lip. It will be square sort of like on NISMO. There will be upgrade to software to deal with the new safety regulations.

yea its just the lower front lip for the non nismo Z.

but one small detail is all Zs for 2027 get the Z logo instead of the Nissan.

Yes, there will be Z logo instead of Nissan. I’m not sure how I feel about this since we already have Z logos on the sides.

im on the fence also . I did a little research ( going into my garage and looking at the side emblems and then zooming in on the pics of this new one lol) and it looks like its the same size emblem as the side quarter panel ones. It will probably have a different part # because the side emblems have these little nubs on the backside that go into the car. the front bumper had little nubs also that help line up the emblem so. my guess is this front emblem is just the side emblem with a backside that has 2 small recessed spots. I had it in my mind that the front emblem had a recess in the bumper the shape of the nissan hamburger but its actually just a circle like in the picture so it it will be a direct swap out.

not sure if I will swap mine. as I thought the Z centercaps were a bit overkill. will have to see this in person

The black Z logo in the front is not the best choice. A Z (no black background) would have blended better.

Isn’t that how the Z32 J spec has it?

It’s funny because I bought the one z center cap, and was about to buy the other three

Way too many Z logos. I prefer Nissan logo on the front and the back. If there is Z logo on the front and the back, side logos are over kill. I think if Z logo was much larger with slightly different circle around it, it would look way better. When all Z logos are exactly the same including size it will look ridiculous.
