Ok, I like the original grill a lot more when it is all the same color. My OCD was bothering me with the differing shapes and colors on the top and bottom halves. Some flat black on the upper helped a lot.

Something about this I like…. I think is the solid black contrast 👍. Hmmm, you’ll see below I put a little piece of red trimming to split the grill….. now I’m wondering if that red trimming would be better with the all black grill. Hmmmm.

Having my Z for over a year now, the original front is growing on me. It’s not that it was bad to me, just that the side and rear views are perfect. After looking at the Garnish, Heritage, Nismo, and latest Refresh versions, I keep leaning back to the original. Just personal taste. Have to see the Refresh in person.

Added a 3/4” red trimming to split the grill subtly . Thought it went well with my color configuration with red interior and rim savers. Probably go 1” next time.

Where did you buy the rim protectors? Thanks

Amazon. I provided link on previous post. Search for Rim protectors or DragongZ as member. They are single piece so no seams👍.

Saw some more photos of the 2027 Front grill refresh. Some aspects look good, but not sure if I like it better overall. Some of the original details I like better. The new side view seems a little off to me. I do like the horizontal grill split. Still gotta see it in person.

I've said it before but I can't remember if it was here or on FB or somewhere else, so I'll say it again...
While the rectangular grill shape may be attributed to an older relative of our cars, I personally see it as a nod to the 350z as well.

IMO, looking directly at the front end (like in the 2 photos above) is the least attractive angle by far, on both cars. They look great from the side and other perspectives, but this was just my least favorite part about the aesthetic of my Z...so I swapped a Nismo front bumper and I think it works really well even with the stock side skirts and rear bumper (I don't love the Nismo skirts/rear, and I didn't want to go full Fismo). Photo below was before I had the PPF and badge applied-

STD model Z,s grill is the worst aspect of the whole car by far !!! Just looks like a complete after thought.
The Nismo grill is just enough to look...... OK..
The NEW 27 Grill is best by far.... looks so much more sleek and integrated.. (y)

Hi @ill-legal?, sorry for pirating your photo (BTW, the NISMO bumper looks great.), but your photo makes it super easy to see why the license plate bracket is mounted higher: the beak (or nose) is longer.

I'm a 7th Degree Black Belt in MS Paint.
What takes others 200 hours to accomplish only takes me 10.
...something that would take 55 seconds in Photoshop.

They don't line up exactly as they're from slightly different angles, but I reduced the '27 as close as I could to match without stretching/skewing it.
