Glad to hear this, a local guy uses Cerakote and priced my at $200 for my set of LDP's from spool. I am debating if it's worth it.
Spool offered to cerakote for $300

Interesting. Just a few weeks ago they told me it was not an option.
I called to have a set made without the logo plates. Guy on the phone said they were not fab’ed in-house so they would have to remove it. When i told them it was for coating purposes, they offered to cerakote them. For $300, i can buy a $40 bottle of c-7600 and a $20 paint gun.

Any idea of what temps the lowers will see for street? Inlet vs outlet temps.? I would think its buffered by the stock uppers?

You could always go with the coating shop I used since they're only 10 minutes away from Spool, and only charged me $120 for both pipes. If you coordinate payments and shipping from the coaters, I could stop by Spool to pickup and run them up to the coaters. Removing the logo plates should be as simple as a hammer & chisel for them to accommodate.

The highest temps will actually be immediately downstream of the main cats, under heavy load and high RPM I would think 1800F could be possible in extreme conditions.

By mail, I've had great experiences with Ruben @ SoCal Porting for Cerakote ceramic coating if you want another option to explore.

Thanks for the offer-much appreciated. I might take you up on that - but I’m going to keep shopping around for a local shop. i was hoping to find someone local to avoid the shipping.

i found a shop nearby called PATRIOT CERAKOTE THE UPSTATE they claimed to be factory Cerakote Certified.

i’m thinking a got a business idea - free lowers with the purchase of thermal coating…

Alright, I finally installed the Spool resonated full downpipes. I only have 2 Jack stands. That matters, because doing this mod on the floor is a beast.

That said, I did the lowers and a majority or the uppers, but could not get to 3x 10mm bolts that prevented me getting the v-band off. I caved and had a local to me shop (Houston) Racebox finish my mess. They also tuned the car (RR6).

A buddy of mine (also a Z owner) scooped me and I picked up the Z this morning. So shout to Racebox for taking care of me and providing outstanding service!

No dyno, man. They flashed the ecu and I'll do the rest remote. I'm mostly going down the tuning route because of the full dps and the RR6 ability to negate the (potential ) oil solenoid issue with the vr30.

However, right now with the ots files, it moves and the sound is amazing. Js...

what was the reason for not tuning on the dyno while you were there?
