Question, how did you manage the tax situation? did you pay taxes to TX or only in Oklahoma?
The dealer submits an affidavit to TX tax entity stating that you will be paying tax in Oklahoma, no TX tax is paid.

Thats how it’s supposed to work, sometimes you have to “remind” the dealer of this process :)

Dealerships sell debt. Going in with cash or financing elsewhere is actually bad for negotiation (for them). They want to sell you debt which they get a piece of, not profit on a car. Pretty much what our entire economy is based on now, debt leverage.
this is how we do it, then refi with credit union 90 days later. I always let the dealer get the purchase loan.

I’m going to go out on a limb and give a shout out to Passport Nissan in the DC area. I picked up a CPO ‘24 Z recently and the price they advertised is the price I paid. My only haggle was value of my trade. I hate trading and knew id take a bath on it but with a bit of back and forth we found a medium that worked for both parties. I’ve been subjected to the “add on” BS and walked more than once.

We are lucky, we have a great Nissan dealer within 10 miles we've bought 3 new cars from them in the past 3 years, always treated with respect, great experience, I actually like going there. I've always enjoyed the art of the car deal. To me it's a fun afternoon/evening. I may be strange.

I’ve found using text messaging to be easy peasy when buying from a dealership. Pretty easy just tell them what you want and what you don’t want and ask for an out the door price.

Many dealerships use a 3rd party service to handle registration and taxes in all 50 states; quite seamless!

For me, the entire dealership concept seems outdated. I can see having local Nissan outlets, for servicing and ordering, but I’d much prefer something similar to Tesla and with strict price controls from Nissan. Come on, Nissan, how about a little out of the box type thinking to try and get ahead of the competition.
I'll actually disagree with you... I'd rather have multiple independent businesses, big & small, all competing for my business vs. a single large company setting the price.

I think the best of both worlds is Carvana now starting to sell brand new cars too. Online click purchase & delivery...but easy to cross shop for pricing vs. others and leverage their price/trade-in against your local dealer.

140 miles is what my 2024 Nismo had when I got it.
Should I get it. Is that a good price? Kinda want the manual nismo but found a manual transmission becomes inadequate with power adders. Had maxed out the stock turbos and longed for more gears.

If you're not one of those "manual or nothing" type of drivers, I would stay with the AT. If I could adjust the lag the AT sometimes has between shifts, I would never change it for a manual...
This car would put a smile on your face every time you drive it.
As far as the price, some would say yes, some would say no... it is up to you. Can you afford it? then get it...
