I just return from a work trip to Tokyo and the local RZ34 Members Club had an impromptu meet for me, a few English to Japanese messages on Twitter got 29 cars out to Daikoku on Sunday just gone by, the 7th of September.

35°C temps didn’t stop them from showing up, a Midnight Purple showed up for the first time, only two months old. A couple heritage models which are called “optioned” body kit cars, to start I was picked up by an RSW promo Fairlady Z, the blue one pictured on the street, at the train station; one of the members who spoke no English arrived and drove me to Daikoku.

I’ve got the Rosewood Z here in Australia, known as Burgundy in Japan, so two were in attendance, a matte black Nismo and boy do they like to customize their cars. Primarily with wheels! The carbon spoiler is an OEM part, which looks epic on the tail.

Enjoy some of my photos attached. If you ever get a chance to visit Daikoku, make sure you go!

Wait.
So in Japan the "Fairlady" part of the emblem is also silver color on darker cars?

Dang, no wonder when I put one on my Rosewood the first thought was "well you can't really see the 'Fairlady' part unless you are up close." Cause its black like the lighter color Z's have.

Going to need to find one of these.

Oh man, thanks for the memories. Hotdamn, how I miss Japan. I lived for over 8 years there, DaikoFuto never disappointed. I need to go back to visit, I know it won't be the same as a visitor. Had an R33, an AE86 and a JZX100 and they all had their specific duties R33 for Wangan (Shuto B line), AE86 for touge and my beloved JZX100 for street drifting and daily driver!!! #allthememories

Well I was just browsing the Nissan Japan Catalog and the Fairlady Z badge is black font w/silver Z, I think the all silver badge is possibly for a different market, even looking through Japanese dealerships all the badging I'm finding is black/silver.

Yeah thats how mine is. I have a rosewood but the rosewood here in this thread has a silver Fairlady and Z. I like that a lot more.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing! I miss Japan already, was there last April in Hakone as part of the trip. Great town and the onsen baths were a great experience. Tried to book the Touge tour per below but too late to sign up. Will book early for next year, going back.
