There is a company in Australia 'LikeWise' that makes some really nice shift knobs.

I was looking at some of their weighted stuff. I wasn't sure how they would flow with the new Z interior.
I quickly threw them into photoshop.

- They also make a "black steel version" that might work nicely.

I think they look pretty normal in that cabin. I don't think I've ever used a weighted shift knob in the 8-9 manuals I've owned lol. I've always preferred ones that are shaped differently on one side than the other mostly for grip/backhand purposes. This is what I'm currently using...

I'm torn on the brushed aluminum - feels like there isn't much for it to match in the cabin (steering wheel "Z" and air vents, maybe?), however the contrast is kind of nice. I'd imagine the black steel would look great.

how much for the small round knob
They’re not cheap,
That round one is called: The Nad Pro
Gear knob: $120 AUD
Leather boot retainer: $40 AUD
LW dogtag $20 AUD

Just check their website, the weighted stuff is the “Pro” lineup…

If your a JDM enthusiast, checkout the likewise show car: built 2JZ 86 ?

That's a really nice gear knob!
it reminds me of the M3/M4 shifters

I’ve had multiple manual cars (6), never owned a weighted gear shifter, my friends have, and the shifts feel amazing.

Last few years I’ve been looking at ways to have the perfect shift feel.
From all the "research" my personal conclusion:
-Weighted shift knob
-Excedy heavy duty clutch (I'ved tried most performance clutches and nothing beats excedy)
-Short shifter kit (I have only tested cobb and cube) but read pro's and con's of short shifters, sometimes the con's outweigh the pro's

I'm totally cool with the stock shifter, I enjoyed the ones in my 350 and 370.

I love weighted shift knobs. Combined with a short throw and shifter base bushings shifting is solid, short, effortless, and precise.

I've been looking at the black version- looks like a pretty close match to the stock one.

Reckon it would be safe to say fitment would be the same as the 350/370z?

If you've never tried to remove a gear knob from a 370Z, you may be in for a real treat when it comes to the Z.
I remember removing my 370z stock shifter knob...looked like a Rottweiler went ham on it.
