I did see diesel for $4.99 yesterday, not "gas", but getting real close to SOMETHING being $5/gallon.
Fortunately, my Q60 and Titan are driven very low miles, I am at maybe monthly fill-ups for them. I went from a 74 mile commute to a 10 mile commute. Suddenly, getting terminated (from my long commute job in Freattle) for being unvaxxed is looking like a plus! So, gas prices would prob need to hit about $10/gal to make me cringe.....
We just had a vacation in Florida, rented a Prius. First time I ever drove a Prius. I wanted a Prius rental "because I hate those damn cars" but I gotta say, it's a serviceable machine, soulless, but gets the job done. For 5 days we drove all over Kissimmee and Orlando, then went from Kissimmee to Daytona Beach and back. When I returned the rental car we only needed to add 5.6 gallons to make it full again. I didn't keep track of miles, but that seemed damned good! If gas was $10/gal, 6 days of driving for $56 still would've been totally reasonable. I think it may even be cheaper than a full BEV? Especially if using public charging?? Should I buy a Prius beater now??

CAD1.869/L or USD6.16/g here in northern Ontario for Regular(89) ?. Man US fuel is cheap! I haven’t checked Premium yet as my car is still in storage ?

Regular gas in Vancouver at $2 CAD/litre on average, converting to USD amounts to roughly $6.28 USD/gallon

“Free” ?. Not sure about my Vancouver chum over there, but here in Ontario we also have another health tax on our provincial income tax portion to help make it even more free ?so that's how you guys are getting "free healthcare"?
Just went grocery shopping. The cheapest I am now able to find is $3.59 cash and $3.69 card. Some stations have it at $3.99 regardless of payment method.
Also, let's stay on topic with gas prices. Once you guys go off the rails the higher ups usual end up locking or deleting the thread in question.

Average local retail prices (per litre, with percentage increase since last month):
We can get regular discounts (only a few cents per litre) with various loyalty card memberships or grocery shopping vouchers, and senior citizens can get a slightly higher discount at some brands.
- 91 = US$1.95 (rise of 10.08%)
- 95 = US$2.07 (rise of 11.45%)
- 98 = US$2.22 (rise of 16.64%)
- Diesel = US$1.44 (rise of 17.83%)

I paid $3.69/gal for 89 yesterday. 93 was $4,68 at my local Shell.
I had my Impala tuned to run on 93 until the Colonial pipeline hack last year made it impossible to find 93 for weeks (and nearly impossible to find 89). I put in a tune for 89 and I swear it actually responds better. Same tuner for both. He can’t explain it.
