I find the picture of the exhaust very interesting. The only way the large centre rear resonator could be utilized is if there is a flap/valve at the beginning of the exhaust tip on one side that would completely shut off thereby forcing the exhaust from that bank through the centre resonator to the opposite outlet, only opening up at appropriate times, it will be loud when this is happening as there is now only resonators to quieten it
However I don't believe Nissan has made any comment about bi modal exhaust
I was just looking at that too, and I'm guessing that half of the sound vibrations from each pipe goes into the resonator at the end, and the other half exits the tips after going through a roughly 90 degree bend.

So the USDM Z doesn't come with resonators...

Is it normal to have all that paint exposed?

Cost cutting... with the J29 its all nicely covered up
Nissan in a nutshell. Cutting costs to produce cars with the bare minimum and then charging premium costs.

I truly feel bad for anyone that has paid over MSRP for the new Z. Heck, for what you get from factory it ain't even worth MSRP.

Underbody panels not just for cleaner looks, but really helps aero at higher speeds. Another huge plus for the Supra.

Does anyone know if there is an option for undercarriage coating?

People upset about the lack of "aero" underneath the car. But, these panels can hold a lot of dirt, sand and debris. I'd rather have mine open so it can be washed, and if there's anything to repair I'm not worried about laying under the car removing and breaking a million clips haha

Looks like the last 2 generations of Zs and a majority of cars on the road new and old.

It's only obvious because it's yellow.
I think the 300ZX was the last one that had any coating.
