Removed the "Z" badge at the back. Tinted the tail lights dark. Next step is to install my Japanese katakana Fairlady badge but first I want to paint the lower part of the spoiler black so that the Fairlady badge will stand out against the black background.

Can these side badges be removed? I can't tell if they're indented/pinned into the panel, or if the panel is just flush underneath them?

They can be removed. They have 2 pin holes on each side for the emblem
Thanks for that. I've been struggling to find a solid answer. I found what I thought was a factory badge with those pins, but couldn't tell if it was for the Z34.

Plan-B was to paint in the infil of the Z (yes I know you can buy inserts, but I already have colour matched paint). I really love how it's turned out after the first coat.

Here’s what I did with the big Z in the back after buying the Fairlady Z badge . I plan to buy the red inserts for both of them but I think the big Z looks better on the rear crossbar

I saw this post last week and immediately wanted to copy it too! Just finished up, and love how it looks. Decided for rear-facing at the last minute.
I also painted the infill with colour matched paint.

Anyone have a link to the Z hole inserts on the sides?
