Hard pass on the yoke. The stock wheel feels really good to hold imo. I didn't buy into the GTR-inspired back story, but they might have been onto something.

Having done it on the Supra, I probably will… if I ever get my hands on a Z. Not difficult to do at all with proper tools and nice way to customize the wheel how you want it. But not a fan of the 1/2 cut wheel design.

That looks rather nice. Who makes that? I'd be interested on doing this with the Z if all the factory controls are retained.

I purchased the wheel and paddle shifters from a vendor on the MKV forums (A90shop) but seems just about every vendor over there offers the same type and customization. I bet many Z vendors will do the same.

All of the buttons are factory - I had to take apart the stock buttons/trim and stock paddle shifters to transfer the spring/lever mechanism to the red aluminum shifters and then reassembled everything on the new wheel.

About 1.5-2 hour install if you have proper tools - flathead screwdriver to release the airbag, impact wrench (for the loctite bolt that holds the wheel to the steering column), torx and screwdrivers.

Did they modify the existing steering wheel or is that a completely different aftermarket unit?

Looks like it’s a completely different steering wheel since it has a carbon grip - but I’m guessing it must be an aftermarket core since I think the Zs have a unique steering wheel from the rest of Nissans lineup.
