Finally got an update on my Z, ordered Jan 2022 now confirmed for May 2024 production.
I'm super stoked about it aside from the annoying price hike for 2024 model. Performance 6MT blue on blue.
Will be my first new car, any advice from current owners?
Glad you got your order! I knew they were sending cars with names on them without any specific priority, but I didn't know that included online orders as well! Please share your experience with it asap.
Did they force you to buy winter tires and mats? Or you can bring your own?
I'm happy for him, but it's extremely confusing cause if he ordered Feb 3 it means they already delivered a car that was ordered online after the dealers had their week in Jan.

My dealer said he expects more Zs to come in in January. Nothing mentioned about waiting to sell in Spring, in fact I saw a yellow manual performance Z sold outside the GTA for MSRP (according to the salesperson I called). The listing was on autotrader for a few days at 63k before taxes , but he...
Makes complete sense to me. My dealer was honest with 0 info for many months in a row, and now he says deliveries are coming in January therefore I can assume with solid conviction that someone's car will be here in a few weeks if not mine. Each car has a name on it from factory, it's just a...

Sure, they will take new orders in Spring, doesn't mean they will fulfill them any quicker. I might be wrong but Z being rare for a good while seems like a reasonable enough likelihood to consider.
I know it's sad, but at least this means the Z will be unobtanium rare in Canada for a while, which bodes well for the equity this car would hold.
Of course I'd rather keep it forever, but if I don't, it's good knowing I'll make most or all of my money back. That's not something I can say for...
Will not quote who said it, but I've been told the cars have arrived in Canada and are waiting for inspection before being shipped to the dealership. I doubt I would be told a lie of this magnitude, but take it with a grain of salt.
As for why my reply was so extra, it was purposefully to mirror your own over-generalization of younger people. It was to get a reaction from you. Your quote here is the real sign of prejudice:
Ah yes, what a loving description of an entire generation. You're just bursting at the seams with...
