As I fly off from St. Louis, Mo to Columbus, OH, to purchase a 2024 Nissan Z Performance my wife said I must be the stupidest or craziest senior in the entire world, that no one as old as me, 77, would go off and buy the Z or any low slung sports car. I mentioned all the old dudes driving Corvettes around and she says those are weekend toys, not cars they drive on long road trips (I start off on a 4000k miles road trip after Labor Day).

in any case, wonder if seniors or females drive the Z. I know lots drive the European sports cars and Corvettes, but don’t know about the Z drivers.

Lots of members here are over 65. I think I’ve seen at least one woman folk.

Enjoy the new Z!

I'm 73 and just bought a Performance. Couldn't be happier. I looked at the Toyota GR86 and the salesman kept saying things like "It's pretty low and its manual" and refused a test drive. Oh well. lI have no problem getting in or out, seats are comfy and highway driving is a breeze--I just have to watch my speed.

The Z is the equivalent to the audience going to a RUSH concert. Female drivers are few and far between. 😂. Just my observation over the years and no insult intended.

I’m 61 and traded in my GR86 for the ‘24 Z Heritage. The 86 is much lower and hence harder to get in and out of. Z height is a bit high IMO but it sure does help exiting. You made the correct choice. 😉

I am Turning 70 in November. I purchased my 2024 Performance Z in March 2024.
it’s my weekend toy. And I do not have any problems with getting in and out of the car.
Enjoy your new ride.

I’m 71.
My girlfriend and I usually wait for a crowd to gather, then charge people to watch us to get in the car. Only took a couple of weeks and the car had paid for itself.

Not that hard to get in and out….just haven’t found a way to do it gracefully

I am 71 and LOVE it! Mine is the Sport auto since I saved a bundle and do not need all the performance stuff. The only thing I miss is the LSD, other than that a huge smile! Enjoy.

Purchased my Z in April. At 68 years young, it replaces my Eclipse GT because I’ve always wanted a manual box as one of our two cars.
I went for the Performance and couldn’t be happier.
Almost broken in at about 1,600K. We’re looking forward to some longer trips this fall, as it’s been bad weather here in Western Canada so far this summer.
enjoy the new ride👍👊

I fit neither of your categories but I think both categories are into sports cars. I see plenty of older folk driving sports cars around here both import and US made.

The Corvette does have an "old guy in jorts" stigma but I have seen plenty of old guys driving Z4's, Supra's, Mustangs, Mercedes coupes... etc.

I'm 62 and had a 370Z Nismo lower on Coilovers. Now I have a 24 MT Performance lower on Coilovers, no problem getting in or out and I'm 6 ft and 195lbs. Going to ZCON which is 10+ hrs drive.
