Looks like the Dorman and Z1 will drain better than the CZP. CZP drain is similar to stock except the drain is flush with the floor but raised from the side wall creating pockets on both sides of the drain.

i suppose you can have the dorman anodized for less money than the CZP..

Please correct me if I’ve missed it, but I believe I read the CZP oil pan to be machined from 6061 aircraft aluminum, meaning it starts as a piece of billet and is machined into the final product where the others are cast aluminum with final machining of the mating surface as well as the threading of the oil pug hole. My choice , if this is verified I would lean to go with the CZP unit, I also have used brass drain valves on my last 4 cars without issue, eliminating the need for a new crush washer and making oil changes less messy.

One of those Fumoto drain valves with a 90-degree bend would make for a clean oil change!

You are correct. The CZP is machined from billet 6061 aluminium and the Doorman & Z1 are cast Al.

Ordered my CZP oil pan and already received my Fumoto right angle adjustable valve oil drain plug, my previous ones had a plastic fitting that should snap onto the valve to connect the hose, this was easy to bum off. Now they offer a brass option fitting to connect with , something like a snap on action device. This I assume will work better.

Got my CZP today, here’s the Fumoto attached in capped, locked out configuration and uncapped open, usually the valve handle on valves crosses the path of flow when closed and is in line when open, a bit unintuitive with this valve, but as long as you use the blue lockout clip you know it’s closed, it only goes on when closed.

Hanging that much below the pan concerns me. I also question whether it'll fit above the engine undershroud?

Love the pan though!

It has a banjo bolt which allows you to rotate it , I just place it facing up for pictures, that won’t be the final installation clocking.

If you don’t already I would suggest a metal under tray because I can see something hitting the plastic one and wanting to try and snap off the drain.

If I recall Fumoto's website correctly the 90with the banjo screw can be rotated by hand up and out of the way between changes.
