You could be right. I looked up the port in Guam, the only vehicles carrier that has docked and left Guam has headed on it's way to Brisbane on June 1st (And it did come from Yokohama before Guam)

EDIT: Below is another one that apparently was in Port in Guam, and left on June 1st. Though the track status doesn't say but it is also headed to AUS from Yokohama;

Not really, dealers placed deliveries at end of June start of July, it will take a week or two to circumnavigate Aus, and we have a huge issue with back logs in terms of getting things from the docks to where they are intended

You could be right…might be too soon, but if that ship is coming to Aus you would think Nissan would have had more than 2 cars on board…would of cost them a fortune

I just heard from the Owner of my dealership group who (lest I repeat myself) sits on the National Advisory Council for Nissan Canada. He said last night the Nissan Canada Rep said production will begin next month: "Still nothing yet, but we have been advised by our Nissan rep that the Z will be going into production next month." It is impossible to tell at all really. But they did say when I went to see the press car that the first shipment will be the dealer cars and MAYBE a few first early allocation cars that are going to the allocation orders that took place before the Canadian online Nissan.ca reservation campaign.

I guess I just keep saving more towards this purchase then...

I mean.. it sounds good on paper to give people that ask when are they coming. But, I believe they're already in production. I have a feeling these are just going to randomly start showing up and everyone will be like wtf!?

At the above rate of "first shipment" of production that are dealership cars for show room demos only ... if they're not even in production until he said basically July. They won't even see those in the show rooms until mid to late August and you can only look at it.. would put regular pre-orders pushed into Sept/Oct at the very earliest. At that point, there is no point in pushing them to market for the fall/winter. The 2022/early 2023 year will be a flop. Might as well make them a 24' MY lol I just don't see that being a thing. As they roll off the line, they're going to stock pile them, transport them to the ports and ship a bunch at once.

I guess all we can do is just keep crossing the fingers and waiting - Like you said, more time to save haha :D

Hmmm for a guy that sits on this so called “council” that didnt even know the pricing when embargo lifted kinda lost all credibility at this point.

Nissan does not make cars for this purpose. Neither do they specify their intended usage.

Under manufacturer/dealer relationship, the dealer buys the car wholesale and can do what they want with it.
