It's the darndest thing, as soon as a manual was confirmed all of a sudden that front end finally grew on me.
Is this really confirmed? As far as I'm aware, BMW has avoided commenting on the topic of a 6 spd transmission for the Z4. End of model production is said to be 2025, maybe they'll go out with a bang.

Considering that the Z4 and GR Supra are both made at Magna Steyr, a manual would make sense. I'd like to believe its only a matter of time before there's more of an official word.

It's supposed to debut for the 2024 MY, Production starts March 2024.

Supra and Z4 will bow out after 2026 MY

My ex-E46 M3 was such a purrty, tight design wrapped around that zinger NA motor. This latest gen is a brick and ugly, sorry, don't really know where BMW gets their designers. Sort of like a camel vs a horse!!

I'd be sitting in one of these if it wasn't so repulsive to my eyes. The front end looks like it came out of my son's Roblox game.
It's for the roblox generation.

Those no skill attention deficit games are evil.

This coming from a cs 1.6 beta player.

IND | Always Underrated: In-Depth G87 M2 Dyno Run

https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30024833#post30024833

G87 M2 RWD - (100% stock / pre break-in)

BMW's Ratings

453hp @ 6250rpm // 406tq @ 2650rpm

Our Best Run Pre Break-in - Dynojet 424:
IND G87 M2: 464.59hp at 6910rpm // 412.85tq at 3050rpm
IND G87 M2 Crank (assuming approximate 15% loss): 547hp // 486tq

Comparison:
G87 M2 — 464.59hp at 6910rpm // 412.85tq at 3050rpm
G82 M4 — 464.92hp at 6780rpm // 408.55tq at 4530rpm

As the G87 M2 roared to life on the dyno, in the relatively enclosed dyno room, we were immediately captivated by the S58's exhaust note; again a substantial improvement over the S55. The S58 engine didn't disappoint, putting down impressive numbers that, yet again, exceeded BMW's quoted outputs. Interestingly enough our suspicions, based on even the short time driving the car, its power output is basically identical to our G82, even slightly exceeding torque output and at an earlier rpm.

Much has been made of the G87's weight so while we were at it, we figured it was a good time to pop the car onto the scales and see where it stood. We're happy to report that with an empty car and a 3/4 tank of gas, our M2 equipped with the carbon roof, but standard seats came in at a very balanced 3,758lbs; slightly under BMW's quoted 3,814lb curb weight.

It IS an amazing car, even stock tune, but in a darker color, easier on the eyes!:)
