Chevrolet increased the starting price for the 2022 Corvette by $1,200 and as it turns out, prices for various options are also higher than they once were.

Images taken from GMā€™s ordering system reveal that the popular Z51 Performance Package no longer costs $5,995 and is instead priced at $6,345. In addition, the sports carā€™s advanced front-end lift system is now priced at $2,260, an $860 increase from 2020 and 2021 models. Corvette Action Center also notes that the Black Trident Wheels are now $100 more expensive ($2,995) as is the available High Wing ($1,250).

Starting prices for the 2022 Corvette start at $62,195 for a 1LT Coupe and jump to $69,495 for the 2LT Coupe, and $74,145 for a 3LT Coupe. Meanwhile, prices for the 2022 Corvette 1LT Convertible jump to $69,695, the 2LT Convertible is priced from $76,495, and the 3LT Convertible tops out the range at $81,145.

Other than playing around with the prices, not much has changed with the 2022 Corvette, although it is available in three new exterior colors dubbed Hypersonic Gray, Caffeine, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat. The direct fuel injection system of the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 has also been updated and the engine has been recalibrated. Updates have also been made to the Active Fuel Management system that means the engine can deactivate cylinders over a broader range of RPMs and lower gears.

The biggest change made for 2022 is the inclusion of the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package that will be capped at just 1,000 units and priced at $6,595. It adds features such as Corvette Racing-themed graphics, black Trident wheels, Corvette Racing ā€˜Jakeā€™ center caps, and Strike Yellow or Sky Cool Gray interiors.

Yeah, I don't like it. The C7 looks much better IMO, but you can't beat the performance with that mid engine traction. I also heard you can't touch them anywhere close to sticker price. There are only about 3 listed within 500 miles of me. A couple are listed in the low 60's, but when you go to their site the price is crossed out and it says to contact them. My local dealer had one marked up about 20k.

Agree with everyone here. I think the only thing nice about the C8 is interior, engine/sound, and price tag. The whole exterior screams batmobile meets Ferrari.

i didnt follow the new vette for a while, but started to when it got closer to launch.
overall i like what they have done, but the styling is a bit over-the-top for me now.
10 years ago, i would have bought one asap. my tastes have changed now...
...im waiting on the z or new wrx to be my next car.

I'm actually in line for the C8 Z06. But... as it won't be revealed probably for another year, with first deliveries in beginning of 2023...it'll be a while lol

I can't afford a Z06. The c8 has been proven to be a pos look at the c8 forum... Blown engines, faulty breaks, and transmission. The problems thread is literally updated daily. I had a $63k pre approval last year I considered many cars, but glad I didn't get this one. I've never seen so many first model year problems.
