Honestly doing the same thing. Im seeing 1LE's I can cop well under 50k. The price is a nay from me, only thing giving me pause is the performance reviews. We'll see how that goes down tomorrow.
Well said, though I will say there can be a concern if you have high fuel consumption paired with a small gas tank. The GT350 has that issue and a lot of owners & reviewers complained about this, and was only amplified during spirited/track driving.
The enthusiast crowd was obviously first to put down their deposits and naturally opted for the manual. But given the car is basically a Civic Si thats slightly more luxurious and heavier, will be interesting to see the take rate on transmissions after it goes on sale.
Also noting the only...
If he ordered at some of the larger Chevy/Corvette dealerships, he may have gotten his at MSRP. There are several Chevy dealers that have historically honored sales of new flagship vehicles at MSRP.
I'm still waiting on the Z and would pay ADM (to a limit), however I've been slowly losing my patience.. The lack of any info from Nissan is leading me to believe the car will miss the spring release, and/or remain in very limited supply until maybe autumn.
Then there's the actual performance...
Any plans or intentions to merge with our other Z sister forum? Both are roughly the same size communities, and we routinely post on the same topics, especially as news breaks on the Z. Seems like it would be ideal if we could integrate the two, if that's a possibility.
I plan on playing Dying Light 2 on PC, comes out this Tuesday. Loved the first game, and looking forward to the sequel.
Also looking forward to GT7 coming out next month for my sim fix!
It's looking more like the only way the Z will be competitive with the supra is in price. We know from Nissan that they have at least benchmarked the car against the supra, sure. But by their own continued statements undermining the Z's performance, and recent revelations about it's weight...
I've been browsing through the comments in this topic and Im quite surprised at the sheer vitriol towards the RX8? As a former owner of an '09 RX8 R3, I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to drive that car. The Renesis certainly had it's fare share of qualms, ( if anyone would knows, it's...
I disagree, the handling feel will ultimately come down to how that weight is managed... how well has the suspension been dialed in, how well does the car handle body roll and shifting momentum. There are some great platforms out there that successfully mitigate their relative higher weights...
Nothing is confirmed, but I think Dan addressed this on another topic:
A) options will be limited at launch. Can’t speak to year 2 but for 2023 models it’ll be slightly limited.
B) expected to be near the current car (maybe a bit more) - will release when homologation complete.
And this kind...
would like to know the weight as well
Also, thank you again Dan and Nissan for the reveal. I know the reaction on the reveal seems to be polarizing at the moment... but it's because we're all really excited and passionate about the new Z, and want to know as much as we can about our next car...
Joe mentioned two interesting things in this video;
1) @ 11:46: 0-60 Nissan was able to shave 15% off this time than the outgoing 370Z. Can someone bring up Nissan's official 370z 0-60 time as reference?
2) @ 14:26: Price expected to start around $38,000 for (base) trim.
We'll need to have...
Hello Dan & Nissan Team,
Thank you again for taking the time to answer (hopefully all) of our questions!
Could you describe the structural improvements made to the new "Z" chassis? Has the chassis been stiffened... is there greater use of lightweight and/or stronger construction material...
