I have completed my very judicious 1200 mile break-in period. I have never had it above 4000 rpm and do not go above 3000 rpm until the oil temp is 130 F. It is a 2025 Performance AT.
I like the car a lot. Traded in (gave away) a very well maintained 2004 350Z touring so I got the performance which have most of the features the 305Z had. I don't mind the stereo and while the exhaust is muted at my age it is fine. It is a great daily driver except I worry every time I part it due to our careless citizens.
I am not certain i will keep it and maybe I can get some advice. I had my 350Z for over 10 years and thanks to youtube did quite a bit of work on her. I do not see myself at 78 digging in to this model. I really have no place to open her up and explore the 400 HP I purchased but I do not have any trouble getting out of my driveway or passing anybody on the highway. I changed the oil myself at 1000 miles and it looked good.
I just don't know if I need this high performance car as much as I thought I would. I am giving myself 6 months to grow with the car. It is pretty special and quite honestly the alleged "cheapness" of Nissan for including old interior features (climate control, door locks, seat controls and dash gauges) are reassuring to me.
HOW IN THE WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS DID NISSAN DECIDE WE DO NOT NEED AN OIL PRESSURE GAUGE IN THE AUTOMATIC PERFORMANCE OR NISSMO???
It scoots and I have never had a car with this performance. It has not disappointed.
