True though Nissan never officially confirmed anything is coming until recently. It was just all of us (including myself) getting impatient for info. It's another thing if they drop a concept and take years to roll it out like the NSX or even the Supra since everyone assumed the FT1 was a...
The new Supra prototypes have been spied testing with multiple engines so the speculation's been that it'll come with different engines for different models. From what I've been reading, the higher performance model will either get a BMW inline 6 turbo engine or a Toyota V6 turbo engine. If...
I hate the Lexus gaping "predator" mouth design that they force onto every single car. But the Toyota Supra if it looks like those renderings doesn't exactly have a nice looking front end either.
It's been a LONG time since I got this excited about seeing a prototype mule. Hope Nissan doesn't get all tricky with the mules and put different bodies on the Z35 chassis.
Anyone remember when they put a chopped up S15 Silvia body on the 350Z mule? They also used a R34 Skyline body at some...
If there's multiple engines offered, not placing a number in the name might also help the forum community here get along better....
Yea who am I kidding, there's probably always going to be annoying engine displacement snobs on forums who hate on the lower models.
If it makes it more expensive then I don't think they'd put the technology / materials into the car. Sports coupes are already a hard sell and not like the Z is flying off the shelves at current pricing as it is.
Yessss! My prayers have been answered. Every other manufacturer seemed to be focusing on weight reduction but I hadn't seen much from Nissan on this until now. The Z35 is probably still far enough out in development to benefit from anything that comes of this Lightweighting Program.
No Tokyo Auto Show this year though. Unless they decide to release something at Tokyo Auto Salon, but that's more aftermarket geared like SEMA. I'm hoping for something to come at NY or LA then.
More power + less weight is every manufacturer's dream formula. But few are able to achieve that without jacking up the price :(
I'm really hoping that they just go forced induction too instead of downsizing to a 4 cylinder. Sorry if I offend any 4 cylinder engined car owners but it's simply...
Man I was afraid that this was going to happen. Nissan is following other manufacturers like BMW now in 'enhancing' the sound of the engine by pumping it through the speakers. It kinda makes sense for BMW's because they're all turbo engined now but why does the 370Z need it?!! Argh
