  1. Dealer Tactics

Yes, most of the time you can find a dealer that isn't expecting you to do the Dr. Ben Dover routine, if you're patient and willing to do some traveling. For me, it was a fairly cheap one way Southwest trip to DFW to get the exact new Z I was looking for, without any stealer add-ons and with a...
  2. Dealer Tactics

I'm having traumatic flashbacks to the "People suck…" thread.
  3. 2027 Z Front Emblem Part Number

I was tending to think this, too, but the original Fairlady hood emblem apparently looked like this. So it does has some surrounding black. And here's the new Z badge, for comparison. I guess it just comes down to personal preference, in the end.
  4. sport trim brake squeal after heavy braking

Absolutely! I'm thinking that, with a smile on my face, every time I'm behind the wheel. For me the Sport is a helluva great car for the money. Killer looks, too!
  5. sport trim brake squeal after heavy braking

I’m in the flatlands surrounding the Houston area so I’m pretty easy on the brakes. About the only time I do any ā€œheavyā€ braking is when one of the crazy drivers around here pulls out in front of me. ;)
  6. sport trim brake squeal after heavy braking

No issues with my Sport. I was very careful with the brakes during break-in, though, to make sure to bed them in.
  7. My 2026 Performance enjoying a 118 degree day in Phoenix

    It’s a cool 91F here. I hope my Z doesn’t get chilly. ;)
  8. 2027 Z Front Emblem Part Number

    My reply? ā€œThe name’s Z… Nissan Z.ā€ ;)
  9. 2027 Z Front Emblem Part Number

I knew the 240 Z sold in the U.S. had ā€œDatsunā€ as the hood badge, but apparently the Fairlady Z sold in Japan had a Z hood emblem, rather than a Nissan emblem.
  10. 2027 Z Front Emblem Part Number

I was stunned to have someone this week ask me ā€œis that the new Fairlady?ā€
  11. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

Similar here. After getting my 2025 at a great price, then upgrading with some NISMO accessory mods, just no way I'd be going for a 2027.
  12. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

Ouch. I would imagine the insurance isn't exactly inexpensive, either.

Hope it goes well, without the typical dealership games. One can always hope. ;)
  16. Exhaust tip smudging has stopped

    I've heard it's closer to 100HP. ;)
  17. 2026 Z Heritage Edition (Z32 Mid/Purple)

Who? I’m glad I’m oblivious to ā€œmodern culture.ā€ Anything past Dirty Harry means nothing to me. šŸ˜‰
  18. What did you do with your Z today? šŸ™‹šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

I can’t speak for the quality of Fuyao glass but that Ohio plant is pretty darn large. It used to be a major GM facility. I will say there is a pretty decent old-school supper club right across the street I frequent when I’m in the area. šŸ˜‰

Ouch! Thanks for that info. NOTSOSafelite.
