Yes, indeed. The dealers I've looked at in the Houston area aren't even worth messing with, IMO. The philosophy is basically "a fool and his money are soon parted." The sad thing is, from witnessing the typical driver behaviors on the freeways in the Houston metro, there are plenty of fools to...
That's what I had to do. Fortunately, I didn't have to go to far to eventually locate what I wanted. I just hopped on Southwest and drove the Z back home. Fun trip.
Speaking of Z's, well, very loosely, as in the Vette ZR1X. North of $200K and I shutter to think of the insurance cost.
None the less, enjoy the ride, Jay!
Thanks! Ah, great plate. I've actually been thinking about getting "ZEATNGU" as a plate, as a play on the infamous plate from the "Jeepers Creepers" movie.
Looks great but not worth the price to me, especially with what local dealers would be adding to the list price. The more I read about Nissan's near term plans, the more I'm glad I got my Z last year during the blip in production.
Excellent! Beautiful shots! I've had my shares of Hondas. I absolutely loved my 85 Accord with a 5 speed manual. Not a sports car but I drove it like one.
Throwing this into the mix, C/D source.
0–60-MPH Times Z
C/D 60-mph Test: 4.5 seconds (Z Performance), 3.9 seconds (Z NISMO)
0–60-MPH Times GR Corolla
C/D 60-mph Test: 4.9 seconds (six-speed manual), 5.0 seconds (automatic)
Heh, heh, heh... I sure don't, unless you count battling the local lunatics on the freeway. I don't track or do anything close, either. Doing a nice cruise in my RWD sweet red Z is nirvana for me. :)
Agree. And since I wanted a comfortable riding GT, the basic Sport was perfect for me at a much lower price, but still with the sweet twin turbo.
The premium version is around $50K or a little over in the Houston area from an online check. I’d imagine if you walk into a local dealer, they’ll be showing all the “great” dealer add-ons, too. I don’t even want to think what bottom line price they’d want to get out the door with one. My past...
Good point. It’s one of the reasons I have an ES350, too. For a reliable, comfortable sedan, with a ton of space, I loved an old Toyota Avalon I had for years. Toyota had decades to perfect the vehicle, along with its similar cousin, the Camry. I was really disappointed when Toyota finally...
Sadly, I didn’t do anything with my Z today. Let these ladies be a lesson for me.

Yes, if what’s been in recent articles is close to true, at about an average of 3 Z’s a year available per dealer, that works out to be quite a bit less than what I understand to be the past recent supply.
I suspect the available Z supply across the board going forward will either be less than...
