Ouch! One way to verify it would be to put some masking tape, like the 3M blue, on the place in question. If it ends up scuffed or torn, you’ll know for sure that’s the location.

You can do it. You’re almost there! :) Just think about yourself behind the wheel, with that awesome “Z” on the steering wheel in front of you and the turbos spinning up. ;) You’re definitely a lot closer than I am. I’m probably at least a year away before I even hunker down and get serious.

I don’t know much about ceramic coating but anything you can do to keep the black from getting scratched would be a plus. I’ve only had one black car. It looked great but the black wasn’t great for hiding fine scratches.

Thanks for letting folks know about it. Maybe it’s just me, and no insult intended to anyone who likes the color, but the rosewood seems to be a really odd color for the Z or any sports car. I must be really “old school,” ? but a car like the Z looks best to me in an eye-grabbing color… bright...

It’s a “bait and switch” move from Nissan. Except there aren’t even that many Performance and Protos to switch to, especially without being financially raped. ;)

Yes, indeed, some Z’s are out there but it’s clearly still a case of demand exceeding supply, apparently by quite a bit. I don’t have anything really pushing me to the “just gotta have it stage,” so I’m willing to wait awhile to get a feel if Nissan is going to be upping the supply eventually...
