Exactly this. Some folks on here are in the honeymoon phase and being borderline delusional. Which is understandable; getting a brand new car is always exciting and I'm sure overall the new Z is a fun car.
HOWEVER, settling for less leads to Nissan not wanting to improve their products. As...
It's embarrassing how bad the quality is for a 2023MY. I wonder how difficult it would be to replace the camera with an aftermarket one or even an OEM one from another new Nissan model.
Holy sh*t, really? I did a search online anyway and I came out to just over $4k. Add dyno tuning time and shipping/install fees if bolt-ons are done by a shop and I figure $4500 max?
Cat back exhaust - $1440-$1990 depending on options
Intakes - $700
Lower downpipes - $430
Tune - $1500...
If you feel comfortable sharing, how much did all the mods and tune cost total? (I could probably just search online and find out, but I'm too lazy atm)
Considering that it's taken this long to even get the new Z into production, I highly doubt there's going to be any changes for the next 2-3 years. The only "change" we'll likely see is the new Z Nismo coming out probably Q3-4 of next year as a 2025MY.
Via Larry Chen, we get a nice breakdown of Z1's nicely modified shop Z as well as insight into current and future modifications Z1 is offering for the new Z.
My 2014 370Z has been having this issue on and off for the past year or two now. Have the touring package that comes with Nav system + backup camera. Screen goes black or blue but still shows the green/yellow/red guidelines. For awhile it would come and go or just flicker, but lately it's been...
This.
@OP You probably should check the owners manual. I know for the 370Z when you're in manual mode you only should be downshifting to 2nd gear and then it will automatically downshift to 1st for you. Granted the transmissions are completely different; 370Z being a 7AT and the new Z has a...
The new Z is never going to come close to the production/sales numbers of its competitors. It was the same way with the 370Z in its last years. And that was before pandemic/shut down the world/supply chain issue times.
Not sure how it's even been a debate or question whether the roof is paint or wrapped. What car manufacturer wraps any body panels from factory? It would cost more time, money and be far less efficient. Not to mention a much higher possibility of defects from factory. It's paint. There is no debate.
I have the V1 axle back on my 370Z and I have no complaints about it. Great quality, fit, and finish for the price. It also arrived fairly quick, I believe within a week of ordering it (that was back in 2019 though).
Now, I have my resonators removed and obviously it's a different engine than...
True, but sadly, coupes are a dying breed in the car market. We live in such an advanced time in terms of technology and engineering, yet car manufacturers are making cars boring and repetitive.
I think as a whole it looks fine but I just don't see the point at all when the Acura Tlx Type S exists. Other than the manual, sure. They really should have made it a coupe though.
Never experienced the 9AT yet, but my 370Z is a 7AT and I will say it can be CLUNKY at times. I assume the 9AT is much better though.
But using the paddle shifters is very fun. I love paddle shifters.
Black really is the best color for this car. Gun metallic is a close second as well. Looks super sinister. Congrats sir.
I think if you add some red accents on it, similar to the GTR, it'll look even better. ?
The official spec comparison sheet was posted on this forum back on August 17, 2021 when the embargo was lifted. So most of us have known for some time what does or doesn't come between each trim.

Agreed. That was one of the main reasons I got my 370Z back in 2019 instead of a 5.0 Mustang GT. They're every where left and right, especially in the U.S. They're not as "special" or rare as the Z. I will say the GT350 and GT500 models are cool though.
The new Dark Horse is looking pretty...
To be fair at this point, '400Z' is searched far more than just 'Z'. Most people marketing or labeling videos with 400Z are doing so for search purposes.
No matter what there's always going to be people calling it 400Z.
