I've pretty much decided that I will keep the current Nismo since it checks all the boxes for me. I'm contemplating doing something even more impractical like buying a 90s classic, 3000 GT or a Stealth.
Yelp, I saw this earlier today. I would say that production may go down from here on out. Dealers probably learned from the past 3 years. At least a lot of folks got in on the good deals.
Do you have the rotors for the back? I might be interested in those for the complete set. You could just DM me for what you think you would want for them.
I must admit, getting a current Nismo in the 35 hundred-ish is impressive. Those particular Recaros look fantastic. I just blew some money on an exhaust, but should be doing more important things like what you are doing.
Cool to see guys like you really using the car the way it was intended...
I just went through the post on FB with regard to the one Nismo that had the engine failure and noticed that the car had intakes and an exhaust. They were running 5w30 oil. The only interesting part is they had a Z1 hotbox on it for awhile until they noticed coolant loss, then it was...
I've only brought it in for the required 10k maintenance intervals and I'm sure they used 0W-20.
I didn't follow any break-in procedure, and had it up to 162mph within 5 miles of the dealership, so probably 17 or 18 miles on the odometer.
Damn, no break in procedure, a 162 mph out of the gate...
The PS4S are great! I had them on my 370z. I can't believe that the Sport Max dunlops on my current Z are already half gone at 2k miles, and that's not even driving crazy by no means. I'll be lucky to get 5k miles out of them.
Did you personally try to slide it around a bit? I do it all the time in my old Titan in the rain, but not so much in the Z, too scared to crash the Z. Lol!
Which exhaust do you have on your Nismo? I just ordered the Stillen competition exhaust. I hope I made the right choice. It's only 2.5 and sounds the best with stock down pipes we will see.
There's plenty of cars in my area that are going for 50k with only about 2k to 5k miles on them, so they could do a little better than that. Use this to your advantage.
Thanks for the very informative assessment. I definitely agree it would be helpful on any DI engine for sure. Yeah, I've seen those videos by Eric really good stuff. Looks like catch cans are on my next mod list.
Very cool, I'm waiting on an exhaust from Stillen, I got the competition one. I'm planning to get these intakes next. What other bolt on stuff do you have?
