Found and read the racebox maintenance guide. They recommend 50K for stock motors, so probably doing that and then at 105K. Should take me a few years to get to that mileage anyway and why not?

The fact that we’re on here trying to find new evidence of this failure should tell us everything we need to know.
Go on a WRX forum and lookup code P0304, no mysteries there, lol.
The 105k interval seems wildly too long to me. I've read that plugs for DIT motors are supposed to have longer lives, but my 2021 Forester with a DI engine running OEM iridium plugs has a 60K interval.
So what's a more sensible interval for this motor?
That's my take too. Heads cracking definitely seems to have been an issue when the motor came out but Nissan addressed it. Probably can still happen on highly tuned engines, but highly tuned motors failing is not a problem unique to the VR30.
For what it's worth, I had ChatGPT do some research for me. I had it search all the non Z dedicated forums for "porous block". I asked it to determine if they were referencing stock or tuned cars and this is what it came up with:
Yes — based on aggregated owner reports and forum trends, the...
Here's a PDF from the USDM 2017 Q60 owners manual that included the temperature range diagram. 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 and 5W-40 were factory recommendations for this motor. Bottom limit for 5W is -13 F.
That was being discussed here, you can unplug the antenna to disable telematics.

I use ramps so I didn't need the nipple, but there's enough clearance for the short nipple. I'll be doing a change next week so I'll check if the long would fit.
He's not wrong, by definition premium is based on octane which is the most important measurement. You're not going to harm the engine as long as you have at least 91. But some of the premiums do have added degergents, friction modifiers and corrosion inhibitors which can increase it's...
