The Auto is faster with better fuel economy. When in sport manual mode it provides the same engine braking as the stick car and you don't have the money shift problem. No bias just fact.

I find the MPG computer 1.5 to 2mpg optimistic. On the rare occasion I drive the speed limit on a trip I've seen it return 31mpg. On trips running 80+ with occasional pulls up to100+ it still returns 25/27mpg.
