There's simply no sane reason to price the Z within shouting distance of the comparable Supra (the base 3.0 is extremely close to the Performance Z, spec-wise).
Unacceptably sloppy.
I think that the new Supra is overpriced, yes, but probably not by quite *that much.* I think it would be a substantially better performance value if it were priced in the mid $40,000 range - that would keep it far enough from M2s and Caymans and the like.
Also, we don't really know if the 3.0...
Obviously said in jest, I understand, but it's worth pointing out that the notion of fake "vents" as a poor design element is definitely something on which I am broadly consistent. It'd be more fair to say that *I* would not buy a car where that element was prominently employed because I find it...
That comparison doesn't really work - USB 2.0 is a measure of data transfer speed and USB-C is a type (shape). I think you mean to say that the front air dam of the Z is shaped like a USB-A port which, although certainly older than C type, is still the most commonly used type.
Yep, absolutely a custom vehicle for film use. But this is further evidence that Nissan will be wise to expand the palate going forward. Orange? Fire. Emerald green? Amazing. Imagine a Caribbean Blue or metallic Purple.
I was going to make that same observation - he's obviously, and very confidently, incorrect that the base is not offered with a 2-tone paint job. That's based on the color selection rather than the specific trim package. Yikes
Oh, look, now the Supra will be offered in a lovely shade of deep blue. What ever could have inspired *that* decision??

And now it comes in a suspiciously familiar shade of blue... Gosh, I wonder what might have inspired this...

Is this the only color in which we've actually seen the base model, to this point? I feel like I've yet to see any other examples outside of the promotional materials from Japan.
This was my thought, also - placing the Performance trim so close to the base 3.0 Supra destroys the "value proposition" angle since the are very similar packages.
Having said that, someone on another thread pointed out that these prices include a 10% tax, so it could be more like $45k, which...
Yep, the "S" is the package that I am waiting for in the US. I imagine it'll be offered, at some point, since it's clearly a product that Nissan is willing to make.
