Going to be doing an oil change on my 2024 Performance and got the kit from Z1 motorsports. The filter I got and the one they use in the youtube video is 15208-65F0E.

However I have seen some sites say that filter does not fit. Seen a couple other OEM part numbers out there too: 15200-BV80A, 15208-65F1B.

I assume this one I got is good to go (15208-65F0E) based on some digging but the VR30DDTT is not listed on the compatibility on the side of the box.
Anyone else use this filter?

Perfect thank you. I got that no spill funnel from Z1 too as I should be able to use it in my Frontier too and maybe the Subaru Legacy... will have to check.

Got a few trips coming up this month but plan on doing the oil change for my Z after that - in October sometime.

Will be the first time I will use my QuickJack's with the pinch-weld adapters on the Z to lift it. They worked good on the Legacy so expecting it to go smoothly. That is if I cant just drive it up on my Rhino Ramps, it may be too low but we will see.

Thanks @MCN1SMO for confirming the filter!

Yes. The Rhino Ramps will hit the fender. Drive up on small peices of 2x8 board first. Undercaraige bolts are 10mm and the drain plug is 14mm

This is the OEM filter everyone should be using. The 65FOE and 9E01A are identical filters other than the 9E is longer with a larger capacity, and more filter media.
That's kind of what I was thinking. The 65F0E seems small-ish. According to Nissanpartsplus.com this is the OEM:15208-65F1B
And their site says the 65F0E wont fit. I mean it sounds like it will fit though.

Cool thank you! I will probably just go straight to the Quickjacks then.

What type of filter wrench you plan on using? On my Sport, OEM is the small/short filter, even then a "Cap" style does not leave enough room to use a ratchet. If the cap style you use has a nut welded on the end(like I used), a crescent wrench will fit up there. Cap size is 64mm.

I have one like this if I can't just use my hands to get it off. I never use a wrench to put the filter on - ever. Just man-power and not too tight. But yeah to take it off if it's too tight I don't mind using this wrench and if I bite into the back end of the filter when taking it off since I will be throwing that filter away. I don't wrench on it below the grooves in case I would accidentally bend it into the threads and get it stuck on there, if that makes sense.

Yup. That will work nicely. If first time the filter will be too tight for hands. I do exactly the same. Put on with hands-- take off with hands. Always works for me. Always do my own maintenance. But, the Z might be a first for some things. Today tried to remove the driver airbox. No go.

Yea Nissan did make a new small oil filter the F1Bs, but as far as we seen they're still interchangeable with the 65s and 9E filter platforms. We do use the F1Bs still on the 1.5l turbo rogues, but other than that it's 65s or 9Es still being used, and me personally always 9Es (truck filter).

Yea agree with ya here. Be a man, use ya hands. Haha, but no for real sometimes them factory ones are smack on tight. The pliers in the picture are just about as good as anything else you can buy imo, I used a set like this for years, never a filter I couldnt get loose. I'll have to brag on Matco though, they make an adjustable set, and it is 100% hands down the oil filter pliers of pliers. It extends to like 7 inches, and ratchet clamps when you squeeze, has some heck of some teeth on the heads. This thing gets down.

So crazy, I just placed an order with Z1 today myself and got the screw on funnel, and a couple of filters. I think the filter they had listed is the smaller one ?. The main item I was after was the catch can but I had to throw a few more goodies in the cart! Also grabbed the Nismo magnetic Oil pan bolt.

Well I went ahead and threw my Z up on the QuickJacks and did the oil-change. The filter that was on it was 15208-65F1A. Seems almost the exact size as the smaller one that comes with the Z1 kit (15208-65F0E). It was definitely on their tight so you can see the scrape marks from my wrench when taking it off. Just hand-tight for the new one. According to these two sites it say's this filter is for a Maxima. So they seem pretty interchangable.

Anyways, easy change but I hate having to take shielding off to do an oil change. At least on my Z the shielding is like 2 pieces that are connected, I could just take the 4 bolts off the back part of it and bend it down at the crease, used small bungee cords to hold it back so I didn't splash oil all over.

Also when on parts.nissanusa.com and I put in my 2024 Z and search Oil Filter it does show the 65F0E and says it is indeed interchangable with the 65F1A.
