Just saw 312077 pop up here in Canada at a dealership. One of the highest VINs I have seen up here so far. Very recent listing. So there could still be cars on the move.

Only a trickle of Zs in and out, a low-volume vehicle for sure.

Updated with data collected on July 28th (compared to July 21st).

Using the zip codes in this V2 area covered map here's a spreadsheet that shows the inventory within the circles (more or less):

Inventory Spreadsheet

The number of cars in the area covered increased from 216 to 234 (+18 cars).
  • removed: 21
  • added: 39
  • highest serial number: 312276 (unchanged)

Got some info to share

There are currently just under 450 orders placed and scheduled for production im assuming all of these are 2024 models

Just 17 Z's are currently in a ship sea in transit. My guess is these are mostly 2024 press cars???

Wow. An even smaller trickle this week.

Updated with data collected on August 4th (compared to July 28th).

40 units ? what a joke

actually in transit on the ocean yes. for context these are the very very first 2024s and some might even be media cars ect. there were about 450 US 2024 orders accepted as of last week which is better

also for the first time we are seeing allocations in the US for CPO ( current production order) which means the dealer can go in and change the trim color transmission and actually option the Z out. not all dealers are getting this but confirmed some are and that is a big change if a dealer is willing to make the changes for you as a sold order ( thats the trickier part)

So some dealers can make changes to their allocations to meet customer orders, but will they tack on addtl $$ as 'dealer options'? I hope not. Also, what if a customer wants an off-color or trim which is less popular, will these dealers comply? Will have to see how far this goes, knowing Zs are still in limited production volumes. Definitely not a buyers' market yet if ever.

agreed and the only way these CPO orders really help a customer is if lets say they were on a waiting list and they are up next and the dealer calls and says hey I can order a Z what color trim do you want? so entirely depends on the dealer and if they want to do that. before for 2023 almost all the Zs were nissan saying hey so and so dealer do you want a blue performance take it or leave it. I think most customers wont even see a difference as the dealer will order what they want. but with that said at the dealer level there is a change in some instances.

so example for my NISMO Z the guy im getting it from had an open allocation and he calls me. over the phone we just went over everything. I say black and he does ok do you want the Z center caps do you want the traffic camera ect ect. literally built to order( not that these cars have many options) the mats and illuminated kick guards are required by nissan by the way. dealers cant order the cars without those 2 options currently

he was honest with me and said If this was a dealer inventory car he would probably have ordered it in another color instead of black and maybe not even a NISMO at all as his customers were mostly looking for manuals.
