I mean technically the orange is a tribute color to the original 240 orange 918 known as new sight orange. just like how nissan did new versions of bayside blue millennium jade and midnight purple for the R35

it even exists within nissans system in the traditional name but the new color code of ECD

This! And from my knowledge orange was never a production color on the Supra

I would be disappointed that there's no manual, only enough power bump to make up for the weight gain, also the actual weight gain, no massive tire improvement, the red accents which take away from every color but red, and a likely huge bump in price, but I will likely never even see one of these on the road.

Kidding aside, I am very happy for those who this car is for, though. Despite complaining about the red, I do like the body work. Glad it is a (theoretical, for now) option.

I just keep thinking about a Performance with $10k+ in mods or a Sport with $20k+ in mods versus this.

I liked this little comparison from Tamura I take it as he is saying the GTR NISMO is very forgiving and will sort things out for you if you make a mistake where this new NISMO Z could bite you in the ass for them as its designed to be a handful and a challenge

I would expect the GTR to be forgiving as the AWD can save alot of people from stupid things 😂, the Z being RWD they will be on their own 😂. Hopefully not mustang style, jk.

Nissan is seriously copying Toyota at this point.

Toyota releases the manual version of the Supra with a new color and sure enough, the Nismo Z is revealed shortly after with a very similar color.

Then Nissan goes and announces that orange is going to be a 2024 color. Didnt Toyota just do the same thing for the Supra?

I think it’s the other way around. Z had a 6-speed manual, then the Supra. The color of the NISMO Z is the same as last years Nismo GT-R. The orange has been shown on the new Z and is a classic Z color from the 240.

I said nothing about the manual coming out first. That wasnt the point. This is strictly about colors. I dont care that the GTR already had it. The GTR isnt a Z. My point was that it wasnt shown to be a color for the Z until yesterday while the Supra had the orange released a while ago. Same for the new color for the Nismo (I get it was used on other Nissans). I was strictly pointing out that Toyota released first with Nissan to follow, Supra vs Z type of thing. Just seems like Nissan is waiting for Toyota to make the next move so that they can copy.

"Awhile" was just a little more than 5 weeks ago. Also the orange rumors for the 24MY have been flowing around since last year. I dont work for any automaker but I'm sure even small changes such as paint are planned well in advance.

Thats exactly what happened. Who can forget about this.
