The exact same Bose system that was in the 370Z.

Has that been confirmed? Only thing on spec sheet is "Bose® audio with 8 speakers, Active Noise Cancellation, Active Sound Enhancement" so number of speakers check out, but beyond that is to be determined as far as I've seen

It's the same, we seriously need to be thankful we got this car.

The only way this car was going to make it was reusing as much as possible.

As am I, the Z34 is still a VERY solid platform and we got one hell of a motor swap.

The only thing that annoys me is we seriously should have gotten this car about 5 years ago.

I really hope NOT.

The best thing about the current FM-platform Bose amp is that it gets a clean, un-equalized signal from the HU. The amplifier performs the signal processing. Installing a better stereo system whilst retaaining the stock HU is much easier in these cars than cars that have equalization occurring in the HU.

Yup, and the Q60 should have had the 6MT made available. I guess Nissan was too busy selling Rogues??

Out of every car I've ever owned, The 370 had the cleanest sounds.

My Z4 was on par but it also took 14 Speakers to match it lol

I agree. But Nissan was in a terrible place and now that COVID is here didn't help either.

No, the Q60 has it's own version of the FM platform - v3

v1: G35/350Z
v2: G37/370Z/Q50
v3: Q60

I could be very wrong saying this but doesn’t Porsche just build on the last model? Like Houston said the z34 chassis is great and can definitely handle the hp upgrade.

They do for a while, yes.

To be honest the new trend in automotive this past 10 years has been "How long can we fool people?"

Look at the C5/6/7 Corvette
Look at the G37/Q50
Fucking Challenger/Charger
The new Mustang will be a "heavy refresh"
The Lexus IS
The damned Nissan Frontier

The list goes on, the Z is just the latest entry.

The reason for this is because everybody is gearing up to go electric, That's where all the money's tied up..... Not enough to go around for new gas-driven platforms
