Nissan Z Upgraded Backup Camera

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a quick update on an RZ34 rearview camera upgrade that I’ve been offering to the Z community.

Over the past several months, I’ve shipped upgraded cameras to 60+ Z owners, and I just finished shipping out my latest batch of 55 cameras.
I currently have 23 additional Z owners already lined up for another batch, which should be available around mid-September. Before I place the next order, I wanted to see if there are any other Z owners here who might be interested.
The upgraded camera makes a really noticeable difference, especially at night. The image is significantly brighter and clearer in low-light situations, while also being sharper during the day.

Upgraded Camera
• 1280×960 resolution (1.2MP)
• 140° horizontal / 80° vertical viewing angle
• 1/3” HD CMOS sensor
• 0.001 lux low-light sensitivity

OEM Camera
• 632×480 resolution (300k pixels)
• 140.5° horizontal / 95.5° vertical viewing angle
• 1/4” CMOS sensor
• 1 lux low-light sensitivity

And the best part:

100% plug-and-play
No cutting or splicing wires
Approximately 10-minute installation
Uses the factory location and connections

I originally started doing these because I wanted a better camera for my own Z. It kind of grew from there, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have a lot of Z owners trust me with their cars.

I’m also starting to shift some of my focus toward the Nissan Frontier community. We’re currently testing a camera prototype for the Frontier, and there has been a lot of interest over there.

So I’m not sure how many more Z batches I’ll be doing this year, but I wanted to give the Z community a chance to get on the list before I place the next order.

Is it difficult to replace?

No, not at all. I can replace it in 5 minutes. If you’ve never done it before it might take you 10-15 minutes.

You only need a 10mm socket and a Phillips head screwdriver.

I have a disassembly video that I send out to all people that PM me and/or place a deposit. It’s a super easy install. Just remove the old one and play in the new one.

we have discovered that for the most part, all of the cameras are exactly the same and most models of INFINITI and Nissans. Right now we are working on a new camera for the frontier.

RZ34 Upgraded Rearview Camera Update.

Just a quick update …we have now taken 40 pre-orders for the RZ34 upgraded rearview cameras that will be ready in the second half of September.

I really appreciate the overwhelming response and support from you guys. The Z community truly is unlike any other. It’s been awesome seeing how much interest there has been in this upgrade and hearing from so many Z owners who have already received their cameras.

Given the response, I think it would be prudent for us to go ahead and plan for another batch for October.

By plug and play, are you saying that there is no need for additional power with this new version?

While it may seem silly, some of us are electricity ignorant/averse to playing with it.
